🐴 Fun Fact Friday: Let’s Talk Farriers! 🧲

Did you know a horse’s hooves grow continuously, just like our fingernails? That’s why regular farrier care is such an important part of caring for our herd!

Farriers trim and balance hooves, check for wear or changes, and fit horseshoes when needed. Their work helps support comfortable movement and keeps uneven growth from putting extra strain on a horse’s feet and legs. Even horses that don’t wear shoes need regular hoof care!

Here at Nunda Ranch, healthy hooves help our trail horses feel their best with every step. Each horse has different needs, and our farrier plays an important role in keeping our herd comfortable and ready for the trails. 🌿

A big thank-you to the hardworking farriers who care for our horses from the ground up! 🤎

I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to come out and do some Horses for the Frost Valley YMCA. It quite the drive, but they made it very accommodating for me. The staff there was more than great. It's a wonderful beautiful place if you guys ever are looking for a place to get off the grid and do some great camping. This is the spot.! 33 Horses down on the way back home!Frost Valley YMCA
