On Saturday the kiddos (all 3) and I went to the RARC show in Owatonna, MN. It's been a favorite since I was a youth.
Eva's very small show team Mini Rex of mostly bucks did alright, good placings and BOS show 2 under Danielle Lowe. It's always great placings well under someone who raises the breed.
Our 4 Open Mini Rex did okay, placed where expected for what I brought. I think BOSG self in 2 shows.
Henry brought 2 satins to show and ended up with 2 Best in shows with his broken black intermediate doe.

I really enjoy watching my kiddos enjoy this hobby, not only seeing their hard work pay off but also their sportsmanship and helping others at the table.

Lindy enjoyed making friends, having dance parties and eating snacks🤣 Thanks Shari, Jacquelin, and Sara Compart.

Eva and I are back from Mini Rex nationals in Fort Worth, TX and we had a great trip... besides the weather 🌪. It is always wonderful to see friends from around the country, we traveled with a great group, Eva made new friends, and we are happy with how are animals did.

Home from school and right to work making more nestboxes.🐰 We used yesterday's beautiful weather to work in the barn and breed does... maybe a few too many 🤷‍♀️

The kiddos and I went to support the CNDRBA in Valley City, ND over the weekend. It is always a fun, well run show. Overall we had a great show and the kids even wanted to learn to write and ended up writing whenever they weren't showing.

Open Mini Rex:
Friday: BOB, BIS with BB's Sting (black buck)

Saturday: We had best or opposite self in every show. But the highlight was for BB's Princessa to take BOS under Adam Schuller.

Youth Mini Rex. Eva was BOB in all three shows, with 3 different rabbits. She also received 2 BIS, 1 RIS and she won the breeders choice class with her Broken Otter doe.

Youth Satin: Henry had BOB and BOS in all three shows. He received 1 BIS and 2 RIS.

Congratulations to all the exhibitors and thank you Shane Ringdahl for another great show, the kids asked if Michelle can come next time 😊

BB's Jagger is a son of Toby our Self group winner from last year's convention.

BB's Princessa is the grand daughter of Black Rivers Legend that Pam Brickner had sent me, Pam was a long time red breeder and I still have her line producing for me.

BB's Diana is my keeper doe from her litter. Eva doesn't show reds often because they aren't a variety she breeds but her broken bucks were in full molts and she was adamant on showing this doe, so I agreed because I didn't want to lose the entry fee.

Another Convention in the books, it was a wonderful week of catching up with rabbit family but I was ready to be home with the kiddos 💓 I tend to keep personal matters off this page but last year our youngest was diagnosed with Bilateral Wilm's Tumor and it's been a tough year between appointments, treatment, surgery etc. We cut numbers, didn't show much and rabbits just haven't been a priority. The only reason we had an entry was because Henry and Eva stepped up (with help from my husband). They took care of chores, did most of the spring breedings, and anything else that was needed while I was running the 3 hours to the children's hospital. Their hard work shows and we couldn't be happier with how the animals did 💜

My mom brought the kiddos to Maquoketa, IA this weekend. The kids enjoyed a weekend away and were happy to get animals on the table. Overall we were happy with comments.

BB's Lioness
This cute doe will be moving right into a brood cage, unfortunately she has what looks like 3 slash marks down her back where white hair has now grown. Unfortunately nestbox injuries do happen and though she'll never see a table she will be a great addition as a brood doe 🖤
