Last week, Avery faced a setback in his battle against cancer that left us all reeling. After starting a new chemotherapy regimen, he experienced intense back and abdominal pain, which led to a heart-wrenching trip to the hospital. The pain was caused by liver enlargement, and despite efforts to manage it, he was in agony. As doctors worked tirelessly to stabilize him, we received more concerning news—his bilirubin levels had spiked due to tumor growth, and liver failure became a real threat.

But through it all, Avery’s resilience has been unwavering. Even in his pain, he found strength in the little things, like reading your messages of support and joyfully opening his Pokémon packs. Your love has kept him going.

Please continue to pray for Avery’s strength, for his healing, and for peace during this uncertain time. Your prayers and support make all the difference in this journey.

Yesterday was filled with challenges, but also small victories. The day began early with countless visits from specialists, leaving no time for breakfast until late afternoon. Luca struggled with pain, lack of sleep, and difficulty swallowing, but we were relieved when a swallowing specialist helped him begin oral intake. A breakthrough came when Luca spent a quiet moment with Atticus, his loyal companion, bringing him comfort amid the chaos. By the end of the day, Luca showed signs of improvement, able to eat and keep food down. His resilience continues to inspire us as we face each new challenge.
