Three months ago, Junie found her forever home, and she has settled in beautifully 💕 Her family absolutely adores her, and every night she happily curls up in bed with her mom, dad, and her favorite toy.

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our rescue pups so loved and spoiled 🐾

💙💙💙 anyone looking to foster a pup please.

“Foster Momma… do I have to leave?”

Not because of you, Blake. Never because of you. ❤️

“But… I thought this was home.”

We know, buddy. And your foster family loves you very much. But sometimes life changes, even when the love is still there, and now you urgently need a new foster or forever home.

“But what if nobody wants a dog with a hurt leg?”

Oh, sweet boy. If only they could see you the way we do.

"Did we tell them how I rest my head on you like I'm trying to melt into your hearts?
Did we tell them how gentle I am taking treats?
How I carry toys around so proudly?
How I do those little tippy taps when I'm excited to see my people?
Did we tell them that I'm the kind of dog who just wants to love someone quietly and completely?"

They know, Blake. ❤️

“And did you tell them I still love walks? That I still wag my tail every single day? That I’m still the best cuddle buddy ever?”

They know that too.

Blake is currently in a loving foster home, but due to changing family circumstances, he needs a new place to land ASAP. He also needs leg surgery — and AAHA will fully cover the cost. He just needs someone willing to open their heart and home.

Blake is:

🐾 Crate trained
🐾 Easygoing and affectionate
🐾 Happy with a couple walks and couch time
🐾 A professional shadow and loyal best friend

He doesn’t ask for much.
A soft bed.

Someone who won’t give up on him.

Murphy update ❤️
Our sweet boy is settling into his new life, and while we miss him more than words can explain, hearing how loved he is makes every heartbreak worth it.

His new mom has absolutely fallen in love with him and lovingly calls him her “Velcro angel” because he never wants to leave her side. ❤️ He has already discovered that he loves strawberries and green beans, and it sounds like he’s fully embracing the spoiled life he always deserved.

He did have one little “uh oh” moment at the vet when a tech tried to pick him up, but otherwise he’s adjusting beautifully and learning that this world can finally be safe, gentle, and full of love.

This is the part of rescue that hurts the most and heals the most all at once. We love these dogs with our whole hearts, and letting them go is never easy. But we will take these heartbreaks over and over again if it means another deserving dog gets a chance at safety, love, and a beautiful life.

Best life, Murphy. We miss you every single day. ❤️

Behind so many “purebred” or “exotic” purchases are animals like her-dogs bred for profit, not cared for with compassion. Unethical breeders cut corners, neglect basic needs, and treat living beings like inventory. When we buy from them, we unintentionally fund that cycle of abuse.
I hear it all the time: “I won’t adopt—I want a purebred,” or “rescue dogs are broken.” But that couldn’t be further from the truth. These dogs aren’t broken…they’ve been failed. Failed by people who saw them as disposable, who didn’t commit to them for life.
Rescue dogs carry stories, not flaws. They love deeply, trust again, and give everything they have despite what they’ve been through.
If we truly care about animals, we have to look beyond what we want—and consider what our choices support.
Adopt. Speak up. Break the cycle.

From the streets of Louisiana…to riding around Maryland like royalty in a golf cart—this is Chance’s story.

There was a time when Chance was just another dog trying to survive. No comfort, no certainty, no one to call his own. Just the streets and whatever came his way.

Now? He’s safe. He’s loved. He’s got a front-row seat to the good life—wind in his face, cruising around like he’s always belonged there. Because the truth is…he always deserved this life. He just needed someone to give him that chance.

Stories like his are why we do what we do. Because for every Chance, there are so many more still waiting. Waiting for safety. Waiting for love. Waiting for someone to see them.

Adopting doesn’t just change a dog’s life—it saves it.

As many of you know, we are not a foster-based rescue — every dog comes directly to us. It’s a labor of love that requires everything we have, and right now, due to some personal commitments, we’ll be taking a very short break to reset and refocus.
