Tenacity Equine Services Professional show groom, braider, and body clipper
Tenacity: Characterized by extreme persistence My name is Lauren Barker. I began riding at the age of 7.

I am 23 years old and have been involved with horses all my life. I have trained and showed competitively with many trainers around the Treasure Valley (Idaho) and Willamette Valley (Oregon) in various disciplines, such as Eventing, Jumpers, Dressage, Ranch, and the APHA Performance Circuit. In high school, I was a memberthe Boise Pony Club, Future Farmers of America, and 4-H. I have started colts and trained/worked horses of varying experience levels. While attending college at Oregon State University, I was an active member of the Event Team, Social Chair officer on the Dressage Team as well as on the Intercollegiate Dressage Team, and Secretary on the Hunter/Jumper Team, as well as a member of the traveling competition team. In Fall of 2020, I graduated with high honors with a degree in Agriculture Science with an emphasis in Equine Science. I now work as a professional groom, primarily in the breed show world as well as some Dressage, Eventing, and Jumpers. I also offer professional body clipping services; anything from a big clip to a full body show horse and will modify to meet your specific needs. Banding and braiding also available.

One of my earliest repeat clipping clients, Valeska, a sweet ole Fjord boy with cushings, received his "the weather is getting warm" clip last week. Looked wayyyy back in my messages to the beginning to see when we began and it was 2020! Oh what a different time that was!
