I will also take out your trash for pick up, rotate blinds & lights, check the mail, wash bedsheets/towels used and remake the bed if staying overnight. Prior Experience:

I am 30 years old and I’m originally from San Diego, CA. I grew up with many dogs and cats. In high school I volunteered at the San Diego Humane Society for 2 years. Then after college I volunteered at the San Diego Zoo for 2 years as an interpretive volunteer teaching guests about different animals and conservation. I also worked at SeaWorld as a Zoological Educator for 3 years where I also taught guests about the animals and conservation. My mom, older sister, and I moved to Washington state in 2018 and lived there until September of 2020. During that time I was background checked and became contracted with Wag and Rover. I also worked full time as a dog handler for a dog daycare called Camp Canine for a year. I have now become a professional pet sitter since May 2021 who is licensed, bonded, and insured with over 50 repeat clients here in Eagle, Idaho with my clientele continuously growing.

This is why I have cancelled dog walks all week. It is not worth the risk to your pets.

Hey pet parents! Smoke settling into the valley isn't just tough on our lungs—it affects our four-legged family members, too.

With air quality dipping into unhealthy levels across the foothills today, swap the rivers trail runs for brief outdoor potty breaks and fun indoor brain games.

Keep an eye out for:
🐾 Excessive panting or coughing
🐾 Watery eyes or nasal discharge
🐾 Low energy or reluctance to play

Keep windows closed, run your AC on recirculate, and save those big outdoor adventures for clearer skies! 🐾✨

Happy Birthday to my baby girl Leilani!

I love her so so much!!! I can’t believe she is already 9 years old. I m so thankful I still have her but I always get sad on her birthday because it means she is another year older. I tell her to keep living but stop aging 😅 She has been a huge light in my life and I am so thankful God gave me her. I hope you have a very good birthday baby girl 💕🐾

A Texas A&M study recently found that more than 84% of dogs showed at least mild signs of fear or anxiety in everyday situations.
And here is the part we as groomers should pay attention to:

That number EXCLUDES learned fears related to grooming tasks like nail trims and bathing.

This means most dogs are already carrying some level of stress before they ever walk into the salon. This does not mean every dog has a clinical anxiety disorder. That is not what the study says.
What it does mean is that fear and anxiety responses are extremely common in pet dogs, and grooming often asks dogs to tolerate several stressful things at once: unfamiliar handling, restraint, noise, water, vibration, coat pulling, separation from the owner, and sometimes pain from matting, skin issues, ears, nails, or neglected coat care. When a dog struggles for grooming, the answer is not always “bad dog.”
It is not always “bad owner.”
It is not always “bad groomer.”
Sometimes it is a dog with a full stress bucket being asked to hold still while a human with sharp objects tries to fix six months of coat neglect in ninety minutes.
This is why groomers need permission to slow down, stop, refer out, require veterinary support, or change the grooming plan when the dog is no longer coping. Professional grooming is not just making pets look nice. It is handling living animals with brains, histories, thresholds, and limits.
The more we understand that, the better we can advocate for the dog, protect the groomer, and explain the work to clients before everyone is stressed, defensive, and covered in undercoat.

Happy 250th Birthday, America! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

It feels incredibly special to be alive for the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.

I grew up in Coronado, California, where the Fourth of July was always the biggest celebration of the year. The parade, the fireworks, and seeing so many military members and their families are some of my favorite childhood memories.

I’ve always loved American history, especially the Revolutionary War and World War II. Both of my grandfathers served in World War II, and my dad and uncle both served during the Vietnam War. Their service, along with the sacrifices of so many others, is something I’ll never take for granted. Freedom isn’t free, and so many people gave everything so we can enjoy the lives we have today.

I was also only 9 years old when 9/11 happened, and I’ll never forget seeing our country come together. It showed me how strong we can be when we stand together.

I’ve been lucky enough to travel to several other countries, and every trip has made me appreciate America even more. We aren’t a perfect country, but I’m so thankful to have been born here. I honestly feel like I won the lottery.

Today I’m just thankful—for our Founding Fathers, for all of the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country, and for everyone who has helped make America what it is over the last 250 years.

Happy Fourth of July! ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸

I always enjoy getting to spend time with these wonderful dogs. Thank you so much to all of my amazing clients for trusting me with your pups. It truly means a lot to me.

Every dog is groomed one-on-one, and I do my best to make each visit as calm, comfortable, and positive as possible.

I hope you enjoy seeing some of their fresh grooms as much as I enjoyed spending time with them this week! 😊
