Eagle River Dog Training Center My name is Heide, I started at Eagle River Animal Hospital in 2019 working as a Veterinary Assistant. I share my home with three pups, Venus, Zeus and Scout.

I live in Eagle River with my husband, Jason, and three kids, Christopher, Addy, and Ava Jo. In my spare time, I love to conquer fitness goals and I have completed an ultramarathon. While working at Eagle River Animal Hospital, I learned many things. Animal behavior was something I wanted to learn more about. My love for animal behavior and training began when I rescued a puppy that I named Zeus. Zeus had severe injuries and needed daily bandage changes. When I started working with Zeus, we had an instant connection. That relationship inspired me to help others to find that connection with their pets and in 2020 I started a training program with “Pawsitively Unleashed”, a dog training business in central Wisconsin. I cannot wait to continue to grow and learn as a dog trainer and help owners find their pets’ purpose and create a strong pet & owner connection.

Thursday mornings were always so much fun! ❤️🐾

We started the day off with our Canine Good Citizen (CGC) class, and all three of my dogs and their handlers PASSED their AKC CGC! 🎉 I couldn’t be prouder of these teams and all the hard work they’ve put in!

Then I got to finish out the morning with my Pre-Agility class, and that was an absolute blast! 🐕 Watching these teams learn, communicate, and work together is one of my favorite parts of what I do. Seeing that teamwork grow and watching the dogs gain confidence makes it all worthwhile!

I’m so lucky to spend my mornings doing what I love with such amazing dogs and their people. ❤️🐾

🐾 BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO KEEPER & JACKIE! 🐾

This past weekend, Keeper and Jackie competed in their FIRST EVER scent trial—and they absolutely KILLED IT! 🎉👏

They competed in:
🌿 Novice Exterior
🏠 Novice Interior
📦 Novice Containers

And they QUALIFIED IN ALL THREE! 🏆🎉

I have enjoyed watching you both train for this so much, and I knew you were both going to do amazing! Seeing all the hard work, dedication, and teamwork you have put into your training come together at your very first trial was so exciting to watch. ❤️

Great job, Keeper & Jackie! We are SO proud of you both and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!

Keep sniffing, keep learning, and keep crushing those goals! 🐶🐾💪
