Alucard earned his Rally Excellent title and tried out Masters the last day, getting his first Q!

Tifa also earned her Rally Excellent title!

Both pups got to try out farm dog as well and Q'd twice, earning their FDC titles 🥰

This weekend the pups got to head up to Blackfoot for some Rally!

Both Alucard and Tifa earned their Rally Advanced titles, and Alucard got to try out Excellent the last day, picking up a Q towards his Rally Excellent title.

They are now:

CH Katydid Dark Horse Alucard Nordicsol RA CA BCAT ACT1 ACT1J CGCA CGCU STR TKI AOM

Nordicsol Lady of Light RA TKN CGCA CGCU STR

We also competed in teams twice, forming team Fur Part Harmony with Mary Drexler and her Samoyeds Sonnet and Jinkies. Team Fur Part Harmony placed first both days!

The pups have been busy over the past couple weeks!

In the conformation ring at the Mount Ogden Kennel Club show, Alucard earned his first points toward his GCh by going Select Dog. Thank you to judge Rhonda Silveira for finding him! He also competed in Rally Advanced once for his first Q, and ran lure coursing twice for the last two legs of his CA title.

In our Agility class, he was evaluated for his ACT1J title. This boy absolutely loves agility, we're thrilled with how fast he is developing in the sport! Thank you Sunset Hills Dog Training for teaching us and doing the evaluation.

Tifa also competed in one day of Rally and got her first Rally Advanced Q!

This weekend we attended the Beehive Cluster, our local show.

Tifa competed in Rally all 4 days, finishing her last novice leg with a score of ✨️100✨️ and getting her intermediate title in one go the following three days with scores of 98, 99, and 98. She finished at 1st place in her class three days and 2nd place one day. We are so incredibly proud of this intelligent little lady, she is killing it at just a year old!
Tifa is now Nordicsol Lady of Light RN* RI* TKN CGCA CGCU STR. Bred by Kendra Hutch.

Alucard competed in Brace with his momma Journey, shown by his breeder Katelyn Hope Wensel, and got a Best Brace in Show!! They looked absolutely stunning together. He also got to participate in FastCAT, which is possibly his favorite activity ever!

We had an amazing weekend at the Golden Spike Dog Obedience Club Trial! Alucard completed his second and third Rally Intermediate legs with a 95 and a 100. He is now CH Katydid Dark Horse Alucard Nordicsol RI BCAT CGCA CGCU STR TKI.

Tifa was also an absolute angel, completing both her first and second Rally Novice legs, with perfect 100s!

Huge thanks to GSDOC for putting on an amazing trial, and so incredibly blessed to have Mary Drexler in our corner as a world-class rally coach. 🙏

This weekend we had the opportunity to attend the Finnish Lapphund national specialty in Anderson, California! We had a great time with some wonderful people.

Alucard added some new letters to his name! He earned his BCAT title, and finished his Rally Novice title with a bang, earning scores of 99 and 100! He is now CH Katydid Dark Horse Alucard Nordicsol RN BCAT CGCA CGCU STR TKI.

He also got his first Q towards his Rally Intermediate title, with a score of 93.

In the conformation ring, he received an Award of Merit in a lovely lineup of specials under Judge Rhonda Silveira. He and his mom Journey competed in brace and got best brace, as well as a brace herding group 1 under judges Jussi Liimatainen and Laurent Heinesche.

Tifa did awesome traveling to her first big show! She was awarded two class firsts in conformation. She also participated in Rally teams for her first ever Rally entry with a score of 89, and her team won 2nd place overall.

Special thanks to Katelyn Hope Wensel and Kendra Hutch for these wonderful pups and their steady support, to Mary Drexler for world-class Rally coaching, and to Cathryn Hanson for her expert conformation coaching.
