This a brief overview of what it takes to get into protection dog training. We love helping new people develop their dogs into powerhouses but it comes with a great deal of work, responsibility and time!

Training is never one size fits all for every dog. Sometimes we take extra steps and slow the process down for our clients.

I had to do a lot of prep over the weekend to get to the point where I could pick this leash up. Hugo is super sweet but until he came to his new owner, has probably never really been on a leash. Thankfully Hugo is 💯ready to learn and is at his core a happy dog!

99% of the time these two play really well together! Lucas does listen to other dogs’ cues and Sherry is really good at controlling the level of play. Today though. Lucas despite trying to play calmly, was just too amped up. So Sherry, in dog language ended up having to tell him enough is enough.

A dog being relaxed enough to use their sense of smell is a major step in cases like Rosie’s. We’ve worked hard for the last few days to get her to this point. We are excited to see her progress!
