"Meet Our New Groomer"
My name is Danielle, and I’m so excited to be grooming at Morgan’s Hungry Pets in Duncannon! I’m a mom of 7 with kids ranging from grown to teenagers, so when I’m not grooming, chances are I’m running somewhere for one of them! Wrestling is a huge part of our family, and you can usually find me sitting beside a wrestling mat cheering on one of my kids. My family keeps me busy, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I grew up in Watts Township, and my family and I now live just outside of Duncannon. We have two dogs and a cat of our own, so animals are a huge part of my life both at home and at work. I’ve been grooming for about 15 years now, and over those years I’ve gained a lot of knowledge and experience. My favorite dogs to groom are Shih Tzus, but I truly love working with all breeds and personalities. One thing that is important to me as a groomer is working at the pace of the dog in front of me. Every dog is different. Some are nervous, some are older, some don’t like certain parts of the grooming process, and some just need a little extra patience. I don’t believe in forcing a dog through something just to get the groom done faster. I would rather slow down, give them a break when they need one, and do everything I can to make grooming a positive experience for them. We’ve also been making some changes at Morgan’s Hungry Pets. We have new shampoos and were bringing in kennel dryers for pets who don’t tolerate the regular dryer well. Our kennel dryers don’t force air directly onto the dog but instead circulate the air to help them dry more comfortably. I also have certain standards that are very important to me. No pet should ever leave the grooming salon wet, and they should never leave without smelling clean and fresh. When you pay to have your pet professionally groomed, I want you to be able to see, feel, and smell the difference when you pick them up. Most importantly, I want you to feel comfortable leaving your pet with me. I’ll treat them with patience, kindness, and the same care I would want someone to give my own animals. My goal is for your pet to leave looking great, feeling good, smelling AMAZING, and hopefully feeling a little more comfortable about coming back to see me the next time. I’m really excited about this new chapter at Morgan’s Hungry Pets and can’t wait to meet all of you and your pets!
