The Minnesota Dachshund Project is proud to announce we will be hosting Battle @ the Paddle Dachshund Races on June 13, 2026 at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth. This is a fundraiser for a local non-profit, Puppa's Pals. They help people in crisis to keep their pets, many times fostered, until they can be reunited. They have many success stories. Puppa's Pals will receive all proceeds.

We plan to have over 60 dachshunds race. Other dogs are welcome to attend, but can not race. We will have a food truck, a local celebrity as our MC and there will be vendors for and about dogs. We will also have a silent auction. Bent Paddle will have all the beverages.

It will be free to attend this event at the YARD at Bent Paddle. Many families enjoy to come watch. To race, there will be an entry fee, we will have those details in 2026. Door prizes and bandanas for registered racers.

Pup cups, dog treats, pet photography. We have a lot already planned. We will be making announcements as they become firm, but mark your calendar now.

If you have any questions, want to be a vendor, a sponsor or volunteer, please message us. If you want to race your dog(s), stay tuned, registration information will come in 2026.

Another week, another pound!

Franks been really moving these days!!! He liks to be outside sniffing around with the other dogs, and does cover quite a bit of ground. I’m not surprised he’s lost another pound. He’s quite the go getter these days!
