MAGGIE - We received a call from an older client whose wife — Maggie’s primary caretaker — suddenly needed medical help. They asked if we could step in and fully care for Maggie while their lives transitioned into assisted living.

Life brings these incredibly hard moments, and of course we stepped up. As time went on, it became clear that Maggie would need a new home.

One of our sitters had grown deeply attached to this sweet old girl and felt such compassion for her owners and their situation that she decided to adopt Maggie herself. Sometimes this work is so much more than walks and pet visits. It’s being there for people and animals during life’s biggest transitions, heartbreaks, and new beginnings.

This is why we do this job 💚🐾
