We have had criticisms about our facility. We are USDA and State Licensed. We have been inspected by the AMERICAN HUMANE ASSOCIATION. We have never had a write up.
We arw transparent, upfront, and honest about all of our standards of care. We have nothing to hide and we would love to give you a glimpse in to our little world.
Q:why do we have individual pens for pregnant mothers and new babies?
A: providing a quiet and safe space for new mothers enables them to properly bond with their babies and allows them the adequate time to nest before birth. Cats are notoriously snoopy and this can stress new mothers decressing milk supply, stalling labor, injuring their babies in an effort to keep them safe.
Q: why do we not raise them in our home?
A: we work with and love on every single baby from the minute they are born. We are a fully operational farm. With that the risk of parasites from cattle and other livestock that can make cat and kittens extremely ill can be tracked in off our shoes. I also know of other breeders who have had fatal injuries to kittens that were roaming free in their home because kittens are just that. Individual pens enable us to see them at all times and eliminate safety risks where they grow and play. We also have only material in their rooms that are able to be fully sanitized and cleaned daily where as our home has carpeting and bedding that can't be changed daily.
