Handsome 6 year old Dexter is looking for his forever home 😍

Dexter is a silly, sweet, simple boy who is just looking for the good things in life: lovings, playtime, and a person to call his own! He’s easygoing, gentle, and loves interacting with people. Whether he’s getting some attention from his favorite humans or enjoying a little playtime, Dexter is happiest when he’s included.

He’s also a pretty easy guy to live with! Dexter is crate trained and walks nicely on a leash, making him a great companion for adventures big and small.

Dexter is a friendly guy with a big heart, but he’s also pretty clear about his preferences when it comes to canine friends. He doesn’t seem interested in hanging out with other dogs, so he’d be happiest as your one-and-only pup.

If you’re looking for a gentle, goofy companion who will happily soak up your attention, enjoy a walk with you, and keep life simple, Dexter might just be your perfect match.

When we first pulled Euro from the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter, we knew he was a big goofy guy. That’s why we fell in love with him. We also knew that big dogs like him tend to get overlooked in shelters so we wanted to be his second chance.

As expected, Euro started to get overlooked at PAWS due to his size and energy level. But our staff loved him so much and remained committed to doing everything to help channel this. And thanks to our amazing donors who stepped up, Euro was able to attend a two week board and train at the Canine Center ATX. There, he not only learned basic commands and manners, but how to relax in public settings.

Well, after 395 days, we are happy to announce that Euro has been adopted! Good job buddy! Now go enjoy your happily ever after! 🥹❤️🎉

Charlotte has been waiting for 270 days ❤️‍🩹 Can we find her people?

3 year old Charlotte is a loving, sweet, and affectionate girl with a wonderful balance of energy and relaxation. She is so so affectionate and creates deep bonds with the people she interacts with. She enjoys staying active and getting out for walks, but she’s just as happy settling into her bed with a Kong and entertaining herself. Charlotte knows how to enjoy the best of both worlds.

She walks beautifully on her harness and loves spending time with her people. Charlotte has shown that she can be selective with canine companions and would likely prefer a home without other dogs. That said, with the right fit and thoughtful introductions, she may enjoy having a compatible dog friend to play with.

If you’re looking for an affectionate companion who can be your adventure buddy and your cozy-at-home partner, Charlotte could be a great match for you.

Diego Jr is only 2 years old, and he’s spent half of his life in shelters. Let’s change that for him.

Someone come adopt sweet, FUN, dog-friendly Diego Jr! 🤍🤎

Diego Jr. is a sweet, curious boy with a playful spark and a heart full of love. He enjoys fetch, toys, and nice walks where he can explore the world at his own pace. Diego has experience living with other dogs and has good interactions with his canine friends. He’s crate trained, and would love a home where he can be part of the daily routine. He may be a little shy at first and can be nervous with loud noises or being left alone, but with patience and reassurance, his affectionate and active personality really shines.

Diego Jr. has a condition called Masticatory Myositis (Eosinophilic Myositis), which is a condition that affects the muscles used for chewing. In simple terms, his body mistakenly targeted those jaw muscles, causing some muscle loss, which is why his head looks a little more sunken in than other dogs. The good news is that he’s being monitored and is on a treatment plan and doing well with medication and routine follow-up care! It’s not contagious and doesn’t affect his loving personality. Diego just needs some extra consistency with his medical care and safe chew enrichment to help keep those jaw muscles active. What he truly needs most is a committed home ready to give him the love and comfort he deserves!
