A few updates from Paw Lover Jo & Co!

I've been working on some updates behind the scenes and wanted to share the new price sheets and a few changes with y'all!

✨ **What's new?**

🐾Enrichment Visits for some extra fun, stimulation, and activity.

🫶Companion Care for pets who need a little extra support, especially those with anxiety or higher needs.

🐕 Overnight walk add ons are now available for $15/day for pups whose daily walking routine is part of their care.

‼️I am still unable to accept new overnight clients at this time.

📋 An official cancellation policy to help keep things clear and fair for everyone.

I'm also sneaking in a little preview of something else I've been working on... 🌸🌱

It's been a little quiet over here lately! 🐾💚

Between keeping busy with my four legged friends and taking a little time off to go on vacation, I've been a little MIA on here!

I got to enjoy a music festival on my time off, which was SO nice since it's something I love doing but haven't gotten to do in a while. 🥹

Now it's back to my usual routine of loving on all your babies, keeping tails wagging, and making sure everyone is taken care of while you're away!

I'm so thankful for all the amazing clients who keep me busy and trust me with your pets and homes. It really means more than y'all know. 💚

🐾 A Little About Jo! And Why I Started Paw Lover Jo & Co. 🐾

If you’re new here, I thought it was about time I made a post telling you a little more about the person behind Paw Lover Jo & Co.!

I’m Jordan, but most people call me Jo, and I’m the one behind all of this! 💚

I’ve had a love for animals for as long as I can remember, and I started working with dogs in high school over 10 years ago. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work in vet clinics, horse centers, rescues, and even a dog daycare for a little while. Every place I’ve worked has taught me something different and helped shape the way I care for animals today.

For years, even while working my 9 to 5, I was constantly pet sitting on the side. I loved it so much, but I never really thought of it as something I could actually do full time. Let alone become a business owner?! 😂

Eventually, I decided to take a leap of faith and see where it could take me. And somehow, here we are! 🥹

I started Paw Lover Jo & Co. because I wanted to create something where people around the Wiregrass could have someone they genuinely trusted to care for their animals. I know how hard it can be to leave your pets when you travel or have a busy schedule, and I wanted to give people some peace of mind knowing their babies are being cared for by someone with experience who truly loves what they do.

Animals are family. ❤️ And I’ve always believed there’s something really special about being able to let them stay in the comfort of their own home, surrounded by their own smells, routines, toys, beds, and everything they know.

And I didn’t want it to just be about feeding pets and letting them outside. I wanted to offer the little extras too. Walks, adventures, car rides, pet taxi services, extra playtime, medication, special care, and all the little things that make life easier for both pets and their people.

Paw Lover Jo & Co. has grown into so much more than I ever imagined when I first decided to take that leap. I’m incredibly thankful for every client who has trusted me with their animals, their homes, and a little piece of their lives. 🐾

So if you’re new around here, hi! I’m Jo. I’m the crazy animal loving girl behind the business, and I’m so happy you’re here. 💚

Meet Walter and Fiona! ❤️

I met their mom and dad when they first moved to Dothan, back when I was still working at Dothan Nurseries! Mom and I instantly bonded over our love for dachshunds, and I mentioned that I did pet sitting around town. Little did I know that conversation would lead to me getting to know these two sweet pups!

Ever since then, I’ve had the pleasure of watching Walter and Fiona, and boy, are they great! 🥰 They thrive on their routine, definitely love their walks, and both have such fun, unique personalities.

It’s been so special getting to watch them over the years and getting to know them more and more with every visit. ❤️

Since mom and dad are only stationed here temporarily, my time with these two is limited. So for now, I’m soaking up every visit, every walk, and every little bit of dachshund personality while I can! 🐾❤️

So thankful that one little conversation at the nursery turned into years of getting to love on these two!

The last month or so I’ve taken a little step back from social media after going on vacation and honestly just needing a small break. But that definitely doesn’t mean things have slowed down around here!

I’ve still been staying busy loving on your pets and keeping my schedule full. August is filling up quickly, and I already have limited availability for September.

For my overnight care clients, I am completely booked for overnight stays in September. If you're new here, I’m also unable to take on any new overnight clients at this time. I’ll be sure to make an announcement when I begin accepting new overnight clients again.

If you’re needing pet care over the next couple of months, now is definitely the time to get your dates on the books. I’d love to take care of your fur babies!

Meet Murphy! 🐾

He is a new client of mine and I am so happy to be working with him. A huge thank you to Laurie Tuttle Dog Training - Alabama for the recommendation. I really appreciate the trust.

A couple of weeks ago Laurie reached out to ask if I take on longer sitting sessions where I stay with the pet for extended periods of time. It really depends on my schedule, but when I am able to, I truly enjoy helping in situations like this.

Murphy recently moved to a new place with his dad and is experiencing some separation anxiety, so he cannot be left alone right now. While his dad is in class, I come over and spend time with Murphy to keep him comfortable and help him adjust.

Situations like this require a lot of time, patience, and attention, and I am really glad I can be there to support both Murphy and his dad during this transition.

While I am not always able to take on extended care cases like this, I do my best to help when I can, especially for special cases like Murphy 💚

Happy Independence Day!! 🇺🇸

This weekend’s crew is extra cute and I feel so lucky getting to spend it with your fur babies. Truly my favorite way to spend a holiday. Whether your pet has anxiety, needs medication, or just needs a little extra love, I’ve got them covered like they’re my own.

Firework weekends can be tough on a lot of pups, so this is your reminder to have a good plan in place. Safe spaces, extra snuggles, and all the reassurance go a long way.

Also… this weekend makes ONE full year of me running Paw Lover Jo & Co. on my own. I don’t talk about it enough, but this business is so personal to me. Every booking, every referral, every bit of trust you’ve given me has meant everything.

Thank you for letting me love your animals like they’re mine. Seriously. 🐾❤️

I’m currently unable to take on any additional overnight clients at this time.

This has been such a busy season and I’m so thankful for each and every one of you who trust me with your pets. I want to make sure I’m showing up fully for the animals already on my schedule.

If you’re hoping for future overnight care, feel free to reach out so I can keep you in mind as availability opens back up.

I will be sure to announce when I begin accepting new overnight clients again.

I am still accepting drop-in visits, walks, and other services, so don’t hesitate to reach out for those.
