I adore animals and try to see things from their perspective to keep them as happy as possible. I've worked as a vet tech, and I've also done home care for chronic and critically ill cats, so I'm comfortable with medical procedures like pilling, subcutaneous fluids, shots, blood sugar checks, and assist/syringe feeding. ds, rabbits and tarantulas. Special needs pets are my favorites. If you have a dog or cat who is shy, skittish, on a special diet, or in need of very particular care by someone who can follow detailed instructions, this is where I excel. SERVICES PROVIDED:
I focus on overnight stays, where I'm with your pet in your home for at least 15 hours a day or more, depending on your needs. This includes meals, walks, play sessions, cuddles, sleep over, and any other activities that are part of your pet's routine. I have a very flexible part-time job that allows me the freedom to work around most scheduling needs, and there are many days that I can spend the entire 24 hours at home with your pet. If you'd like me to sit for you, I'll come by to meet your pets before you leave and take plenty of time to discuss the details of their care. I'll want to know their normal habits and behaviors, to help recognize if anything is out of the ordinary when you're gone. In addition to attending to your pet's needs and providing lots of closeness and attention, I'll water the plants, take out the garbage, and bring in the newspaper and mail. I also offer cat boarding in my home near Speer and Downing. I generally recommend cats stay in their own homes to keep their stress levels down, but if this is not an option for you, or if boarding feels like the best option for your kitty, I provide the most stress-free boarding in town. I only board for one client at a time, and there are no other pets in the home. Your cat will have complete freedom to move about my small apartment and to sleep in the bed if they like. My goal is for you to relax and enjoy your trip, and for your pet to feel comfortable and loved while you are gone. I can provide multiple client references to confirm that I'm a conscientious, reliable, and caring pet sitter. A basic overnight pet-sitting job is $60 a night.
