Animals are not here for our entertainment! Behind many forms of animal entertainment are animals experiencing fear, stress, injury, confinement, and exploitation.

Animal welfare includes emotional and psychological well-being💙

At Colorado Voters for Animals, we believe compassion should always come before entertainment. For more details about CVA's position on animal entertainment, visit covotersforanimals.org/protecting-animals/

A dog’s breed alone does not determine whether they are dangerous. Colorado Voters for Animals supports science-based policies that focus on behavior, responsible ownership, prevention, and public safety — not breed stereotypes.

Bear activity is increasing across Colorado as black bears emerge from hibernation. 🐻

Colorado Parks & Wildlife reminds residents to secure trash, remove bird feeders, keep pet food indoors, and never feed wildlife. Small actions can help prevent human-bear conflicts and keep bears wild. 💙

Colorado Voters for Animals wants to remind you to give young animals space this spring. Human interaction can unintentionally orphan wildlife and create dangerous situations for both animals and people.

Keep your distance, leash dogs, and contact Colorado Parks & Wildlife if you see an animal that appears sick or injured

We expect plates to go on sale by January 1, 2027. Money from the sale of the plates will go to wild horse population. As more information becomes available, we’ll let you know.

Last winter in Wyoming, a wolf was run down, dragged into a bar, and tortured. Law enforcement barely did a thing.

Now, a felony plea could mark a turning point. This case isn’t just about one act of cruelty—it’s about what we tolerate, what we protect, and whether wildlife laws will finally catch up with public values.
Cruelty to animals is never isolated. It reflects on our communities, our safety, and our humanity.

The question now: will lawmakers act?
