I've gotten a lot of interest in mice recently. It'll still be awhile before I have availability, so if you're waiting- please consider adding rescue mice to your household instead! Our local shelter here in Denton has plenty of mice looking for new loving homes right now.

For those who haven't been keeping up with my website, I wanted to give a quick update on our page about what's been going on in the mousery and where I've been.

TLDR; No, we are not closed, and we have not stopped breeding! We've just had some hurdles, and rough patches, but we aren't quitting any time soon. Litters are coming very soon!

For the longer story, to be completely honest, this year has been tough. At the end of last year, we moved, and before that move- due to the stress of the move and the stress of the holidays, we took a little breeding break. We expected to start breeding again as soon as we moved, but the world had other plans. Frankly, I've had a lot of loss in my personal life, saying goodbye to my two best friends in very close succession. My mousery took the backburner while I coped and recovered, and I wasn't doing any pairings, and was instead investing my time and energy in doing some upgrades and changes to the mousery space.
Unfortunately, once I got ready to end my hiatus, I realized many of my mice had grown out of breeding age. For mice, time moves quick- and all it took was that little hiatus for many of my breeding bucks and does to become too old to continue breeding. I had to work with what I had, and obtain some new lines from other breeders. Still, I have been forced to discontinue some lines due to lack of healthy biodiversity, or issues in the line, and overall have far less mice in my mousery than I have had in almost 3 years.
However, things are finally going according to plan. I have been doing pairings again recently and I have many litters on the way. I've had a few litters arrive through the past couple weeks and more are expected within the next few weeks. Soon, there will be new availability on my website. I am expecting to have some mice to add on my beginning of August update, and even more to add end of August-early September.

IF you were a member of my waitlist, please reach out. The software I was using to take and store waitlist applications is no longer working and will not allow me to access my records, so I have no way of getting into contact with anyone on my waitlist. I will absolutely honor your place on the waitlist if you reach out. Due to these technical difficulties, I am not taking any new waitlist applicants. I will begin taking waitlist applications once I feel like I have enough supply to meet demand, and once I find software I like to use.

One thing I would like to note is that I have had a lot of very entitled people reach out begging me for mice immediately. This is a general PSA that behavior such as:
- Calling my personal number multiple times in the middle of the night
- Offering to pay double or triple my price if I give you mice same day
- Begging/crying/saying your child is going to cry/otherwise throwing a fit when I let you know I do not have mice available
- Refusing to fill out waitlist or adoption applications because they are "just mice"
are all red flag behaviors to me and will almost certainly result in me never placing mice with you.
I do not breed based on demand. I do not breed for profit. I breed for myself and to improve fancy mice as a species. It doesn't matter how much money you offer me- It's not about money. My #1 priority is making sure mice go to good, loving, responsible, and prepared homes. If you are refusing to fill out applications, demanding mice immediately, or trying to bribe me into changing my policies, I'm going to assume you aren't the good, loving, responsible, prepared home I'm looking for. I am always flexible and willing to work with adopters, but there are boundaries that I do not accept the crossing of.

If you have any questions, or are interested in adopting and would like updates at any time, please let me know! I am always available.

Manx is not an ethical variety, period end of story. Skeletal X-rays have been done on various manx mice and have shown deformations in the spine. These are not health issues you can breed away from. They are a permanent consequence of the manx gene. These animals also have severely restricted balance and are not capable of the same quality of life as their tailed counterparts. We do NOT support the breeding of manx and I am appalled to see the sudden surge of breeders working with this gene again. I do not and will not place any mice with any breeders who work with manx lines and my mice are never to be used to produce manx. End of story, thank you.

Hello!
We wanted to make a quick update in regards to our program. We've been getting a LOT of interest. I've been pretty inactive between moving, and some other life stresses. I didn't want to start doing pairings again until we were fully settled in, but we do have a few litters in the nest and some others currently paired and hopefully expecting. That being said, as of this moment, we do not have any availability.
We had many people on our waitlist and as soon as we got availability, everyone got snatched up! I am expecting to be able to have a bit of availability during next month.
We are no longer maintaining an official waitlist. Our next update will be posted March 1st on our website.
Thank you for your patience!

We're still currently on hiatus, but while we're on this break, we decided to update our transport options, prices, and locations. This reflects the move we've just done, as we now live a little bit farther south. These locations and prices will replace our old locations and prices. Looking forwards to posting availability come January! Of course, those on our waitlist will be getting first pick. To be added to our waitlist, please message us directly. Thank you!

ANNOUNCEMENT

We will be going on hiatus. Hiatus is expected to end, with new mice listed, January 1st, 2026. There are a couple reasons for this. We will be moving in mid December and have a lot of preparations to do. Moving will be easier if we have less litters. Additionally, this gives us a great opportunity to screen and test our mice as we prepare for next year.
IF you would like to be placed on a waitlist for January, please reach out to us and we will send you a waitlist form.
Thank you!
