Very Excited for our second fundraiser with Lilly Pulitzer! The response from our last Shop to Support had a great response that this year we hace expanded to all five stores in Palm Beach County!

We will have the following stores participating:
Mizner Park, Boca Town Center, Plam Beach Gardens, Delray Beach (and Worth Ave - f they are open in time from their construction.)

Remote shoppers can shop by calling the Mizner Park location at 561-807-7275. They will place orders for them & ship it to them. That will count towards sales as long as they shop in the time frame of the event!

Happy Jug Day from Dr. J Hanover and all of us at River Run Racehorse Retirement! 🐴

For those new to harness racing, the Little Brown Jug is one of the sport’s most celebrated races. It’s also part of the Pacing Triple Crown for three-year-old pacers, alongside the Messenger Stakes and the Cane Pace.

In 2016, Dr. J earned his place in the Little Brown Jug. With Scott Zeron driving, he finished third in his elimination, advanced to the final, and finished third again. To compete on that stage against the best three-year-old pacers in the sport was an incredible accomplishment.

Today, we get to know Dr. J beyond his racing record. But on Jug Day, we’re especially proud to remember the athlete he was—and still celebrate the horse he is. Very happy on his ride tonight.

Good luck to everyone racing in tomorrow’s Jug, and happy Jug Day to everyone who loves this sport! 🏆

Dr J Hanover! It’s not often I get to see Dr. J in action. I’m either riding him or taking care of him. I’m not even gonna be shy about it. Damn he looks good.

It’s been a while since we had Standarbred Sunday! Liz and Black joined River and I for a beautiful Sunday Morning ride. Just a nice walk since it was Rivers first day back. Thank You Liz for bringing my girl some company today!

It has been a week and the first day I feel like River was back to normal. Me on the other hand I am cooked. Lol. alarm went off 5:30 and hit snooze and never heard it again. Had a migraine all day. Think my body has enough. I think River was appreciative.

There weren’t many updates from us this weekend because River wasn’t feeling her best, and my entire focus was making sure she received the care she needed.

Not every day at River Run Racehorse Retirement is made up of happy trails and beautiful moments. Sometimes our mission means staying close, paying attention to the smallest changes, and being there through the difficult days. The health, comfort, and lifelong care of our horses will always be our highest priority.

This video shares what River and I have been through over the past few days. Thankfully, it looks like things are moving in the right direction, and I’m incredibly grateful to see her feeling more like herself.
