The bond between humans and animals is a primal need which is all too often neglected in today’s society. By inviting this connection back into our lives, we better ourselves and the relationships around us. By encouraging healthy interactions with our pets, we not only give them what they so desperately need, but we also grow healthy ourselves and learn how to give and take unconditional love.
St Michael K9 was originally started because I needed a service dog and had to train her myself. I trained Cora and decided I wanted to help my brothers and sisters with their dogs, so I took an obedience course online. As I began getting partnered with a national organization to train service dogs, I began picking up a private client here and there. I am picking up more clients and I am recognizing a need in this area for quality, innovative, training techniques being used worldwide in combination with a day care program that provides socialization and exercise for their dogs. These beneficial programs that will lead to happy, healthy pets and people.
We at St Michael K9 will also make available affordable training for Veterans. Veterans who are left behind by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Therefore, we will accept all veterans to train a dog for themselves regardless of ability to pay. We will attempt to get them qualified for their training through our partner organization, Train a Dog Save a Warrior. As a veteran who has suffered through PTSD, depression, and many other trials, I believe dogs are the best therapy for men and women like me.
It is our goal to be the direction people turn for all their pets needs. From exercise and behavior modification to day care, boarding, and supplies.
