🐱 Did You Know? June is Adopt a Shelter Cat Month! 🐱

We have to admit—it’s probably one of our favorite months of the year!

If you've been following along, you may remember that just a few months ago our cat population was running pretty low. Well, that has certainly changed! We now have THREE rooms full of wonderful cats waiting to find their forever homes.

At MCAC, there’s a cat for everyone—big or small, young or mature, playful or laid-back, colorful or classic. Whether you're looking for a cuddly lap cat, a playful companion, or a new best friend, we have plenty of amazing cats ready to meet you.

Even better, all adoption fees are just $20 throughout June as we celebrate 20 years in our current building!

Stop by, spend some time with our feline residents, and you just might meet the perfect new member of your family. ❤️

🎉 Weekly Adoption Update! 🎉

What a fantastic week it has been at MCAC!

First, we would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by Carpet Weavers on Saturday to meet some of our adoptable dogs. We are thrilled to report that 2 of the 4 dogs who attended the event found their forever homes that very same day! ❤️🐾

This week, 16 amazing pets found the loving families they deserve!

🐱 8 Cats Adopted:
Asterisc, Calliope, Leeja, Moe, Munchkin, Red Rose, Ritz Cracker, and Snapchat

🐶 8 Dogs Adopted:
Big X, Cinnabon, Cobblepot, Cookie, Pluto, Skipbo, Sweetheart, and Wilbur

To all of our adopters, thank you for opening your hearts and homes to these deserving pets. We wish you many years of love, laughter, and happy memories together.

🐾 Meet Robin! 🐾

This handsome gray gentleman is looking for a new family to call his own! Robin is a male cat who came to the shelter on June 9th when his owner was no longer able to care for him. While losing his home has been a big change, Robin hasn't let it dim his sweet personality.

Weighing in at 12.4 pounds, Robin is as soft as he is lovable. He loves people and is always happy to soak up attention from anyone willing to stop and say hello.

Robin currently lives in our cat colony and seems to do great with the other cats, making him a wonderful candidate for a home that already has feline family members. Whether he's making new cat friends or winning over visitors with his affectionate nature, Robin is always a favorite.

This sweet boy is ready to trade shelter life for a cozy couch, sunny windows, and a family to love. Could that family be yours? ❤️

Reminder: the shelter is closed today but will open regular hours tomorrow 12-4pm. We will also have adoptable pets at Carpet Weaver's Flooring & Furniture Gallery in Forsyth tomorrow from 11-1. Please stop by and see some great adoptable pets as they enjoy some time outside of the shelter!

🍫🐾 Meet Fudge Pup! 🐾🍫

How could anyone resist that face? Fudge Pup is an adorable young pit mix estimated to be about 8 months old and currently weighs 30 pounds, though he still has some growing to do!

This sweet boy came to the shelter as a stray just 10 days ago, and he has already stolen the hearts of our staff. Fudge Pup is friendly, affectionate, and eager to make new friends. He loves attention and is already showing everyone just how smart he is. With a little training and consistency, this young pup is going to make an amazing companion.

Like most puppies his age, Fudge Pup is ready to learn, play, and experience all the adventures that come with having a forever family. All he needs now is a place to call home and someone to give him the love he deserves.

Meet Riggs! 🩷🐾

At just 2 years old, Riggs is a sweet little cuddle bug who's ready to find a family of his very own. While he currently calls our cat colony home, what he'd really love is a cozy couch, a sunny window, and a human to shower with affection.

This lovable guy absolutely adores attention and is happiest when he's soaking up pets and spending time with his favorite people. If you're looking for a friendly companion who's always ready for snuggles, Riggs might just be your perfect match!
