Something exciting IS happening tomorrow and I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. 🥹

Every once in a while, you get a reminder of just how far something you started with your whole heart can take you. I’m grateful every single day for the opportunities, the people who have supported me, and this little business that means so much more to me than I could ever put into words.

All I have ever wanted was to give back to the dog who truly gave her life for mine and somewhere along the way all my dreams came true.

Because of all of you.

Back in April, I had the opportunity to stand on the stage at the Lincoln Square Theater and share a story that is incredibly personal to me as part of the Heart of Illinois That's What She Said. 💙

A lot of you know me as the person who comes to your house, takes care of your pets, sends you pictures and updates, and makes sure your animals are loved while you’re away.

But there’s a whole story behind how I ended up here.

My talk, “Leap of Faith,” is about the dog who changed the course of my life, what happened after, and how I found purpose in the years that followed. It’s about healing, resilience, community, and ultimately never giving up.

I’ve always said that Sara saved my life. What I don’t think I realized at first was just how much her story would continue to shape the life I built afterward. 🐾🤍

Happy Friday!

Enjoying a very rare Friday night off with a glass of w**e that one of my wonderful clients brought me back from her recent trip to Canada 🍁🍷❤️

Fun fact: we did a boat tour into Canada while visiting Upstate New York and Niagara Falls this past summer and loved it! What a thoughtful gift!

I am volunteering again tomorrow at the Humane Society spay/neuter clinic and filling up for the holidays and winter months fast.

There’s a lot that comes with being a one-woman small business that people don’t always see.

Networking. Marketing myself. Spreading the word. Making appointments. Answering messages. Keeping up with schedules. Taking pictures and writing detailed summaries. Remembering every pet’s individual routine AND showing up even when putting yourself out there feels extra hard some days.

Building something from the ground doesn’t always feel easy, but nothing worth having ever did.
I show up and give it my all because I genuinely LOVE what I do. 🐾

That’s why every referral, recommendation, share, follow, and booking means so much to me. I never take it for granted when I hear, “Someone recommended you,” or “Someone new followed you!”

I’m so grateful I get to build something that feels like mine, one pet, one appointment, and one connection at a time.

And honestly? I wouldn’t want it any other way. ❤️

✨NO WALKS 9/1-9/7✨

As temperatures continue to climb here in Decatur this week, I want you all to know your pet’s safety will ALWAYS come first. ❤️

During extreme heat, high humidity, and/or unsafe pavement temperatures, I pause walks and limit outdoor time. We can still have a fun, fulfilling visit together without putting their health at risk.

If it’s too hot for us, it’s WAY too hot for them.

✨AUGUST PUPDATE✨

Every month seems to bring a new lesson, a new connection, a new opportunity, and another reminder of why I started this small business in the first place.

I’m so grateful that I get to spend my days loving on your pets, supporting local families, and building something that means so much to me right here in my hometown. As business continues to grow, I’m constantly striving to find more ways to give back to the community that has supported me along the way. I currently have a couple things happening behind the scenes that I am really looking forward to sharing with you all very soon and I am so excited to see where this chapter of saying yes and doing it scared takes us. 💙🤍🩵

I get to spend my days loving on your pets, learning their little personalities, and making sure they feel happy, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away.
