Uma accompanied Sadie-Lady on her very first trail outting!

Both of these lovely fosters have come such a long way since they first came to us. While Uma is ready and looking for her perfect forever home, Sadie-Lady still has a bit longer to go before she's ready for placement.

But what a beautiful success to see these two girls enjoying a trail adventure together.

🏡❤️ HELP US GIVE MORE DOGS A ROAD HOME ❤️🏡

Today, we are excited to officially launch the Road Home Scholarship Fund through Some Minor Dog Rehab.

Every year, incredible shelter dogs lose opportunities simply because they need a little extra help, a little extra training, or a little extra support to succeed in a home.

The Road Home Scholarship was created to change that.

Our 2026 goals include:

🐾 Sponsoring 10 shelter dogs with training, enrichment, and field trips

🎒 Providing 5 Road Home Starter Kits to help new adopters get started on the right paw

🏡 Awarding 2 In-Home Training Scholarships

🎓 Awarding 2 Adoption Success Scholarships

❤️ Funding 1 Behavioral Rehabilitation Scholarship for a dog in need of intensive support

Together, these efforts will help 20 dogs receive the training, support, and second chances they deserve.

We are starting with a fundraising goal of $3,000. Every donation, no matter the size, helps move us closer to helping another dog find—and keep—the loving home they deserve.

He's adjusting well to his new environment at the Edgewater Animal Shelter, and is getting ready to get back into training next week.

He was transfered to the Edgewater Animal Shelter, and we followed him over to help out. 💕

We are pleased to say he is adjusting well, has gained weight, started to settle down and is doing well!

Valor and Yadi having a mutual training day today.

Yadi and Valor were both rescues with similar base issues, but where Valor shut down Yadi would lunge forward. Yadi became reactive with his insecurities while Valor tried to disappear as best he could until he got comfortable; both were insane love bugs with no manners when they got comfortable.

Now these two are living their best lives, learning new skills and gaining confidence everyday.

Valor and Yadi have both been adopted and have amazing homes, who we will continue to support in an effort to ensure these amazing boys continue to be set up for success.

Valor is staying with us for a tune up while his parents go on a trip for a few days. ❤️

Valor was an at-risk rescue dog who was scared of the world, mouthy and needed a helping hand. after some rehabilitation he has found his perfect home where he not only thrives but we get to be a part of his life. 🐾

The Prince & The Pauper

Tucker is a miniature poodle mix who has been fostering with us for about 2 years. He was placed in a home early on, but unfortunately they did not appreciate his needs for structure, nor did they listen when we said he didn't like being treated like a small, cute fluffy dog.

Unlike Emrys, the Chinese Crested and his best friend, Tucker doesn't like to cuddle, be held, etc. he likes playing hard, fast and has play drive for days

Tucker was returned to us shortly after adoption, and while many people have been interested in adopting him, none appreciate his actual needs for an ideal home.

🏠 If you are looking for an excited, fun small dog who would love long days on the trial and a quiet home life without too many guests, and a small dog who wants to work and please rather than cuddle and be held. He's just a lot of energy, a lot of play drive but gets on great with other dogs and has zero prey drive!
