Story time 🙂

Stitch is the sweetest boy, but unfortunately, he had a very scary experience in the past when one of his nails was accidentally cut much too short. That experience left him extremely fearful and anxious about nail trims. Nobody has been successful since.

We attempted his nail trim on Saturday, but he became too overwhelmed, so we decided to take a step back and try again today. His mom and dad gave him his prescribed calming medications beforehand. Although, honestly, you wouldn’t have known he took anything!😂

I also brought out a new tool—a hammock designed to help provide support and make the experience more comfortable. With the added support of an e-collar and plenty of patience, we were able to successfully trim ALL of Stitch’s nails!

One thing we learned today: Stitch definitely prefers the Dremel over traditional nail clippers! Every pet is different, and finding the right approach, tools, and pace can make a huge difference.

I’m so proud of this sweet boy and his progress today! 🎉🐾 His parents were absolutely wonderful about giving him the time and support he needed.

Bubby is feeling nice and refreshed after today’s appointment. Have you ever met a 25 pound kitty? Now I have! He was a lovely boy for everything we did. A full shave with a waterless bath, nail trim, and an ear cleaning.
