At the most recent Covelo Clinic, one of our Accessible Veterinary Care programs, volunteers from the UC Davis Weill School of Veterinary Medicine provided essential veterinary care for hundreds of animals in an underserved rural community while helping train the next generation of veterinarians in accessible, community-centered care.
From routine wellness visits and spay/neuter surgeries to helping a severely injured dog named Nala receive lifesaving treatment, the clinic demonstrated how supporting animal health can strengthen the wellbeing of entire communities.
