Just hours before 12:00am and 4rth of July…..Tiny Dancer hit ONE POUND!!!!!! And she feels GREAT!!! She is taking cheap shots at her sisters and then running between my feet for protection!!!! She is sooooooo sweet!!! I’m so glad she could stay. ❤️

11 weeks ago this started. Sleeping sound is wonderful. It’s wonderful to see a united and successful attempt to bypass what fate was suggesting and see her well and playing. There were many ups and downs. Times I thought…..oh man, this is not good. But we both did our part. I couldn’t have done it without her. And River…..first time Momma….was so calm and steady that that tiny baby was able to finally latch and start to nurse. Tiny Dancer is her name and she will dance for a long time. Thank you to everyone that sent a prayer her way.

Here’s a wonderful update on Tiny Dancer. She is doing FANTASTIC!!!! She is eating more and feeling sooooo MUCH better!!! I think the weaning process was difficult on her because she is so small but once she started eating better on her own without nursing she started doing BETTER!!!! She is up to 15 ounces!!!! One more ounce and we CELEBRATE!!!! I took her to the vet to have her checked to make sure there was no obvious reason for her to be so small. So he took blood and checked for Liver function and kidney function. It came back ALL GOOD!!!!! Nothing is off and she is GAINING!!!! I bet she is just going to be small. I had one that I bought for Mom many years ago and she never got over 3 pounds. She lived to be 16. Not all small babies have a bad reason. Some are just small.

This room use to be a dirty back porch that was a constant battle to keep clean so I made it part of the house. Everything in this room is for the dogs. Right now it’s the nursery and maternity ward. There are two other rooms in the house dedicated to the “kids” where they can go in the house and go out to their yards.

LIng Ling weighs 7.8. 7 pounds, 8 ounces. She has her size now. She may make 8 pounds. She is extremely smart!! She loves to play. She likes an active life rather than couch potato. Her and Brezie play endlessly!!! She is just now starting to get her adult coat. PM for details.
