❤ Meet Ronni, a confident, affectionate cat who thrives as the queen of her castle. She’s full of personality and loves attention.
❤ If you’re looking for a loving cat who wants to be your one-and-only (or possibly bond with a carefully introduced friend), she's the perfect match for you!

❤ She would do best as the only cat in the household. However, she has shown she can coexist with a very chill feline friend—one of her foster mates occasionally joins her in her space, and they peacefully hang out. While she’s not a “hard no” on other cats, successful introductions would need patience and a slow adjustment period.

❤ You can easily arrange a meet and greet with Ronni
by submitting an adoption application:
feralfriends.org/cat-adoption
(You can bring Ronni home for a trial visit.
Also, be sure to ask about our foster-to-adopt program.)

❤ Ronni is 2-years old.

When you start in animal welfare, no one tells you that it’s something you can’t escape. And honestly, at the beginning, you don’t think you’d ever want to because you love it so much.

People talk about burnout, but you always think that won’t be you. You’ll take time for yourself. You’ll live a normal life. You’ll still be fun. You’ll still party. You’ll still exist outside of the work.

Then you realize especially in Texas the work follows you.

You go to a bar and get recognized and suddenly the bartender is telling you about the cats he feeds in the alley. You drive two hours away and someone asks if you’re the cat man and tells you about a big colony nearby. You go on vacation and there are community cats at the place you’re staying. Or like this morning you try to have a quiet coffee with your boyfriend who I often forget exists and then, there are cats at the restaurant.

It never turns off.

I just want people to know that I am doing my absolute best. Balancing a full time unpaid passion with a job that actually pays the bills is hard. Caring this much is hard. Seeing the need everywhere and knowing you can’t fix it all at once is hard.

I am trying. I am working to find more affordable spay and neuter options. I am showing up even when I’m tired.

And if you’re in animal welfare and feeling this too you’re not alone. We carry a lot. And we keep going anyway 🖤🐾
