The next 2 weeks or so are booked solid with pet sittings and nail trims so I won’t be able to schedule any more appointments until October 13th. Then from 10-22 to 10-27 I’ll be unavailable while I take time off to spend with my own critters 😁

Giant dogs hold a special place in my heart - and these two were no exception. Please keep two of my families in your thoughts as they had to make the gut wrenching decision recently to help their babies cross the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈
Rosie the Mastiff I started seeing as a “complicated” nail trim in 2021, and eventually pet sat for her and her friends as well. She wasn’t my biggest fan (always gave me the side eye and the stink eye) but we eventually made good friends and even though she still barked at me, she loved pets and ear rubs. And she became a really good girl for her pawdicures.
Dez the Great Dane I didn’t meet until 2024. He also was a “complicated” nail trim since he HATED having his feet touched. But with his mom’s comforting support and our patience, he got used to having his toes done every month too. Sadly I only had the opportunity to pet sit him for one trip, and he was perfectly happy to sit with me on the couch for snuggles.
I know their families are hurting, it’s a pain we all know well. No matter how many years we get with our dogs, it is never enough. 💔😢

June was such a busy month I wanted to stop and take a moment to count my blessings - every single one of you who have trusted me with your critters 🥰
Last month I visited 110 houses for nail trims, and did 83 pet sitting visits! And July is just as booked. THANK YOU!

This weekend we remember those who served and sacrificed. All gave some, some gave all. Please have a safe and grateful Memorial Day.

May is also Mental Health Awareness month so I’d like to take a moment to remind us all that we never know what someone else is struggling through, our veterans especially. You do not have to be alone in the battle with your demons.

I had visits recently with Brindle, Jack, Riley, and little miss Ellie (who is always suspicious of me because she hates getting her pawdicures once a month). I have the best job ever 🥰

I stole this pic from the interwebs because I was much too excited earlier to think of getting pics…. Today I did nails on a whopping 4 South African Boerboels (and at two different houses)! I have not seen a Boerboel in many many years and so of course I was giddy like a school girl and they were all super sweet and well behaved for their pawdicures. I do love me some gigantic dogs, especially the mastiff breeds 🥰

The Boerboel is a large, powerful South African mastiff known for being a loyal, protective, and courageous family guardian, requiring experienced owners for early and consistent training and socialization due to its gigantic size, and dominant, strong-willed nature. They are intelligent, calm, and affectionate with their families, including children, but are naturally wary of strangers and will fearlessly defend their home and people. This breed needs space, a fenced yard, and a confident leader to manage their protective instincts and ensure they are well-adjusted.
