We’re officially 14 days away from North Texas Giving Day, and the cats would like a word.
Actually… several words.
“Feed me.”
“Pet me.”
“Stop petting me.”
“Why is my bowl only 97% full?”
“And most importantly… PLEASE help our friends.”
Cats and kittens make up a huge part of the animals coming into our shelter, and kitten season can turn into kitten chaos very quickly. One of the ways we help tackle the problem before even more unwanted litters are born is by supporting TNR — Trap, Neuter, Return.
Community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and returned to the area they call home. No dating. No surprise litters. No tiny kitten army taking over the neighborhood.
It’s not glamorous, but it works.
And with shelters already full, helping control the community cat population is one very important way we can reduce the number of cats and kittens needing shelter in the future.
Our North Texas Giving Day goal is $28,097, and we have just 14 days left to get there. Your gift helps Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter continue supporting programs and needs that give animals in our community healthier, happier futures.
So, on behalf of the kittens, the community cats, the shelter cats…and that one cat who has been silently judging us from across the room for the last 20 minutes:
Please donate.
Because fewer unwanted litters means fewer homeless kittens, less strain on our shelter, and more cats living their best nine lives.
Thank you for helping us help them. 🐾
Donate today and help us reach $28,097!
With purrs, head bumps & just a little cattitude,
Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter
