Very worried about Gaiya. She’s not feeling well, not eating well, lost weight….
We went to the vet yesterday and they talked about hospitalizing. I hate the idea though because after they close, the pets are alone for 12 hours until the reopen the following morning.
So the Doc put together $1000 worth of stuff to send home with me. I’ve been giving her subQ fluids every few hours, prescription liquid food, vitamin K injections, anti-nausea meds, and meds for her liver support… I’m away from her for only minutes at a time and she still wants to be held a lot of the time. I don’t think she’s worsened… but I’m not sure she’s improved either.
Taking her back today would mean leaving her alone for those hours over night… (reminding me of Covid where people died alone in the hospitals). …and the expense isn’t something I prefer to think about either.
This girl is important. I love her. But I don’t have a bottomless pit of money either. Money causes me stress these days.

Guess who had his neuter yesterday?? If you guessed Chase, you were right! As soon as those 2 little stitches are healed up, he’ll be ready for a new family!
