Igor’s dad left such a thoughtful review after I had the pleasure of caring for his sweet boy, and this one really touched me. ❤️

One of the biggest things I want every pet parent to feel when they trust me with their baby is reassured. Every dog is different, and some pups may need a little extra patience, understanding, or attention—and that doesn’t make them any less deserving of loving care.

Igor and I spent our time cuddling, playing LOTS of fetch 🎾😂, going on walks, and even working on staying calm around other dogs. Watching him become comfortable with me and seeing his personality come out was definitely the best part. 🥰

And the fact that his dad specifically mentioned feeling comfortable trusting me with a breed that can sometimes be unfairly judged? 🥹 That means so much to me.

🐾🎾 Fetch, fun & a little progress with Igor! ❤️
Igor has been having a blast playing fetch! This sweet boy loves chasing his ball, getting his treats, and soaking up all the cuddles. 🥰
We’ve also been working on his reactivity around other dogs by practicing calm behavior, giving him space when he needs it, and rewarding positive interactions. Every little step counts, and I’m proud of the effort he’s putting in! 🐶💕
At The Pawlton, it’s not just about playtime and potty breaks. It’s about getting to know each pup’s personality, respecting their boundaries, and helping them feel safe and comfortable.
Progress over perfection, one paw at a time! 🐾👑

🐾💙 Meet Igor! 💙🐾

Igor’s family is out of town for 10 days, so I get the pleasure of checking in on this sweet boy 3 times a day while they’re away! 🥰

And when I say Igor LOVES some attention… 😂❤️ He’s all about his treats, cuddles, and quality time. His favorite spot apparently isn’t beside me either — it’s right on my shoulder! 😂🥹 Sir, you are NOT a lap dog, but okay!

Drop-in visits aren’t just about food and potty breaks. I make sure my pups get plenty of love, attention, playtime, and companionship so they don’t feel so alone while their family is away. 🏡🐶

We’ve still got plenty more visits together, Igor, and I’m definitely not complaining about the cuddles! 💙🐾

🐾💜 Meet BB! 💜🐾

Look at that smile! 😍 BB has been such a good girl during her stay at The Pawlton Pet Retreat!

She’s well-behaved, knows her commands, has great recall, and even knows a few tricks! 🐶👏🏾 And if there’s a treat involved… just know BB is READY to work for it. 😂🦴

She also gets along great with smaller pups, which made her such an easy addition to the Pawlton crew. Between her good manners, sweet personality, and those listening skills, BB has easily been one of the best-behaved pups I’ve had the pleasure of caring for! 🥹💕

🐾💗 Meet Ivy! 💗🐾

Just look at that little face! 😍 Ivy came to The Pawlton Pet Retreat ready to steal hearts, and she did exactly that!

She’s such a sweet girl with the cutest personality and plenty of Corgi charm. 🥹🐶 From that big smile to those adorable ears, it’s hard not to fall in love with her!

I love getting the chance to welcome new pups, learn their personalities, and make sure they feel comfortable and loved while away from home. 🏡💕 Ivy has definitely been a pleasure to have!

Can we talk about how FLUFFY this little guy is?! 😍 Barney came to The Pawlton Pet Retreat looking like a whole little teddy bear, and that sweet face is just too much! 🥹🐻

He’s been enjoying his stay, getting some fresh air, exploring, and of course getting plenty of love and attention. 🐾💕 With all that fluff and personality packed into one little pup, Barney definitely knows how to steal the show!

And yes… she definitely lives up to her name! 🥹 Sweetie Pie has been such a sweet girl during her stay at The Pawlton Pet Retreat.

She’s easygoing, well-behaved, and has been enjoying plenty of relaxation, attention, and walks around the neighborhood. 🐶🐾 And of course, Roxi has been right there showing her the ropes! 😂💕 These two have been enjoying their walks together and keeping each other company.

I love seeing my guests settle in, get comfortable, and feel right at home. 🏡🐾

🐾 Look Who’s Back — Denver! 🐾

One of my favorite repeat guests is back at The Pawlton Pet Retreat! 🥰 Denver has officially made himself right at home around here.

He’s the sweetest cuddle buddy and my little shadow — wherever I go, Denver is usually not too far behind. 😂❤️ He loves being close, getting plenty of attention, and of course settling in for some good cuddles.

Denver does have a little habit of trying to mount his furry friends, so that’s something we’ve been consistently redirecting and working on during his stays. He’s making progress, and we’re keeping those puppy manners in check! 🐶👏🏾

I absolutely love when my pups come back because it means I get to build a real bond with them and learn their personalities more with every visit.
