5 Tips to Avoid Getting Scammed When Investing in a New Family Member ❤️ your dream Puppy

1. Request a live video call.
You should be able to see the whelping area, the parents, and the entire litter in real time—not just photos or pre-recorded videos.
2. Ask for references.
Speak directly with past clients who own one of the breeder’s puppies. Ask about communication, the process, and the health of the dog after bringing it home.
3. Verify ownership of the puppies.
Ask the breeder to send a current video holding the puppy and saying your name and the date. This helps confirm the puppy is actually in their possession.
4. Check health records and registration.
Request veterinary records, vaccination dates, deworming history, and any genetic health testing done on the parents.
5. Be cautious of pressure and “too-good-to-be-true” deals.
Scammers often rush buyers, refuse video calls, or offer unusually low prices. A reputable breeder will answer questions openly and won’t pressure you into sending money immediately.
