✨ Looking for a dog who likes to take life at her own pace? Meet Coco! ✨

Coco is a 1-year-old, 38-pound girl with medium energy and a sweet, easygoing side that comes out once she’s had a chance to get comfortable.

She’s the kind of dog who likes to check things out first — give the area a good sniff, take in her surroundings, and then settle in. Once she does, Coco has shown our volunteers some pretty great companion skills:

🐾 Walks nicely on leash
🌿 Loves taking her time to sniff and explore
💛 Has calm, easygoing energy
🦴 Takes treats gently
👏 Has shown good manners outside her kennel
🚽 Has pottied right away when taken outside
🥰 Warms up to pets and attention with a little patience

Busy shelter spaces can sometimes make Coco nervous, especially when other dogs are barking as she passes their kennels. But get her outside where things are quieter, and you start to see a much more relaxed girl.

Coco would love a patient family who won’t rush her and will give her the chance to settle in, build confidence, and show them who she really is. If your idea of a good day includes leisurely walks, plenty of sniffing, and hanging out with a sweet pup by your side, Coco might be your girl. 💙

🎪 211 DOWN. 1,789 TO GO.

The numbers keep climbing! 211 pets have officially found homes during Dallas’ Greatest Pet Show — and we’re not slowing down.

Our September goal is 2,000 adoptions, which means we still have 1,789 pets to go. And there are plenty of Main Attractions waiting to help us get there. ⭐

Today’s featured star: Galen!

Galen is a friendly, energetic 2-year-old who’s easy to handle and walks well on leash. She’s shown a social, laid-back side around other dogs and, once she gets comfortable, may even join in for a little play.

🐾💙 FOSTER FEATURE: Meet CHANGO! 💙🐾

Hi, I’m a handsome 9-year-old, 83-pound boy with a whole lot of love left to give. 🥰 I may be a little nervous when we first meet, but give me a little encouragement and some time to warm up, and you’ll see what a very sweet boy I am.

Once I got outside, I enjoyed being loved on, happily accepted treats, and showed off that I know how to SIT! 🍖🐶 I’m also a good leash walker, so we can enjoy our walks together without all the pulling and craziness.

And guess what? 💦 I LOVE SPLASHING IN THE POOL! I hopped right in to cool off my feet and had a great time.

I’m an easy-going guy with good manners, a loose and wiggly body, and a heart that just wants to connect. ❤️ I enjoy people, I’m social with other dogs, and once I feel comfortable, I’ll happily solicit pets and soak up all the attention you’ll give me.

Something really sweet happened during my outing — when my roomie came outside with another volunteer, I became even more relaxed and at ease. Sometimes having a little companionship helps me find my confidence. 🥹💙

Now I’m hoping for my NEVER-ENDING ADVENTURE… okay, my NEW adventure! 😂🐾 One where I get to leave the shelter behind and start life with a family of my own.

🐱💛 A huge thank you to Josie and Valery!

They generously donated an XL incubator for some of our tiniest kittens who need a little extra time and support before they’re ready to take on the world.

This incredible gift will help us provide a warm, safe space for vulnerable kittens when they need it most. We’re so grateful to Josie and Valery for showing up for Dallas pets in such a meaningful way. 🐾

🏡 Are you a Homebody?

Some dogs know the best plans are the ones that don’t require leaving the house.

They’re happiest keeping you company on the couch, following you from room to room and settling in for a quiet night at home. They don’t need a packed calendar to have a good day — a comfortable spot and their favorite person will do just fine.

If staying in is your idea of going out, a Homebody might be your perfect match.

Because Love Fits Every Lifestyle — you just have to find yours.

🐾 Shiloh is ready to stay in with you.
Shiloh is a 4-year-old lovebug who lives for affection. He’ll press himself against his kennel door hoping for a little attention, and once he’s had a chance to sniff around outside, he’s perfectly content soaking up the pets. He walks well on leash, appears to have good potty habits and enjoys other dogs in a calm, laid-back way.

🐾 Maria understands the Sidekick assignment.

Going for a drive? She’s in. Taking a walk? Right beside you. Hanging out at a dog-friendly spot? Sounds good. Staying home? She’s happy there, too.

Maria loves being included. On her Daycation, she enjoyed car rides, walks, toys and meeting new friends. She did well around other dogs, knows “sit” and “down,” and loves following her person wherever they go.

And after a full day together, her favorite moment wasn’t the adventure — it was curling up on the couch for a nap with her new friend. ❤️

Maria isn’t picky about the plans. She just wants to be your +1.

Meet Dairy — a handsome 1-year-old, 66-pound pup who is patiently waiting for someone to say, “Yep, you’re my guy!” 🥹🐾

Dairy is a calm, gentle boy who appreciates taking things at his own pace. He may be a little nervous when he first meets new friends, but give him a little time to settle in, sniff around, and get comfortable, and you’ll start to see him warm up. 🥰

He’s been easy to handle while at the shelter and walks well on leash, making him a great companion for leisurely strolls and quiet adventures. 🦮🌳

When it comes to other dogs, Dairy seems to prefer a laid-back social scene rather than a wild party. He’s looking for someone who understands that the best friendships sometimes start slowly — and grow into something really special. ❤️
