PUPPY CLASS TAKES ON LOWE’S! 🛒🐶

This week, our puppy class took their skills on the road and headed to Lowe’s!

Why? Because raising a great puppy is about SO much more than learning sit, down, and stay. ❤️

Trips like this give our puppies a chance to experience the real world in a positive, controlled way. We worked on:

🐾 Walking nicely through the aisles
🐾 Staying focused around distractions
🐾 Meeting new people appropriately
🐾 Seeing carts, doors, displays & unfamiliar objects
🐾 Practicing patience and calm behavior
🐾 Building confidence in a brand-new environment
🐾 Learning that they can look to their handler when something feels new or uncertain

Every sound, smell, person, cart and strange-looking object is a learning opportunity for a puppy!

Our goal isn’t just to teach commands — it’s to help raise happy, confident, well-mannered dogs who know how to navigate the world with their families. 💙🐾

And these puppies did AMAZING! We are so proud of them and their families for putting in the work. 🥰

Because raising a great dog shouldn’t be something you have to do alone! 🐾

🐾 PACK HIKES ARE ABOUT SO MUCH MORE THAN A WALK! 🐾

Our trainer-led Pack Hikes aren’t just a great way to burn energy — they’re also an amazing opportunity to help dogs build confidence, practice appropriate social skills, and learn how to be comfortable around other dogs. 💛

Just like people, dogs communicate in their own language — through body posture, movement, facial expressions, space, and lots of little signals.

And some dogs simply don’t read dog language very well yet.

They may miss another dog’s signals, get too close, become overly excited, or feel unsure about what another dog is communicating. When that happens, a dog can become uncomfortable, overwhelmed, or even react in a way that looks like they are “acting out.”

That doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t like other dogs. Sometimes, they just need a little help learning how to navigate those interactions. 🐶❤️

That’s one of the things we LOVE about our trainer-led Pack Hikes.

With the guidance of our trainers, we can work on:

🐾 Respecting another dog’s space
🐾 Reading and responding to canine body language
🐾 Walking calmly alongside other dogs
🐾 Building confidence without forcing interaction
🐾 Practicing appropriate, Pawsitive Play
🐾 Learning that being around other dogs can feel safe and fun

One of our favorite things to watch is a dog who was once unsure around other dogs begin to relax, understand their new friends a little better, and eventually realize…
