We regret to inform you that we will not have the Dog Days of Cuchara this year. It has been a busy summer and we hope that you enjoy the Art Festival at the Cuchara Event Center or the many other events occurring around the county that weekend!

Thank you to everyone who came out for Dog Days! We had a wonderful time even when dodging the rain throughout the day!

With the combination of river rubber doggie sales, Cuchara strong hat sales, and corn hole proceeds we are able to donate $1,000 to the La Veta Fire Protection District! We are so thrilled!

Congrats to our Dog Race winners Hershey for little dog (again!) and Milo for big dog!

Thank you to the Cappellucci Brothers Band for the excellent music and our wonderful vendors who brought goodies for all and information about the Library, SPAWP, and Los Huerfanos Animal Welfare Association!

The River Rubber Doggie Race at the Cuchara Yacht Club was a big contributor to our pot by raising $500 for the cause!

The kiddos had a great time doing the gear challenge with fire fighters and 20 came out for free ice cream after a scavenger hunt at the Cuchara Lokal.

We had 30 teams at the Dog Bar for corn hole! Congrats to our winners and we hope everyone had fun!

We are gearing up for our big event this Saturday, August 6th starting at 10:00AM! Here are our activities for the day including vendor booths, face painting, races and more!

10:00 - National Anthem by local Haley Jameson
10:15 - Big Dog & Little Dog Races
11:00 - Live Music by Cappellucci Brothers Band
11:30 - Chili Dog Buffet at Dog Bar & Grill
12:00 - La Veta Fire Department Gear Challenge
12:30 - Scavenger Hunt at Cuchara Lokal Courtyard
1:00 - River Rubber Doggy Race at Cuchara Yacht Club
- All proceeds go to the La Veta Fire Protection District
2:00 - Corn Hole Tournament at Dog Bar & Grill
- Call Stephanie at Bachman & Associates to pre-register or sign up by 1:15 the day of the event (719) 742-5551 $25 per team!

Vendor booths will be set up throughout the day along with an obstacle course and other games. Come enjoy the fresh mountain air and all that our town of Cuchara has to offer!
