Our senior gal Blue is undergoing surgery on Tuesday to remove cancerous masses from her mammary chain. This is a high risk surgery but we are hopeful it will improve her quality of life.

When she's under anesthesia, if our veterinarian sees spread of necrotic tissue, we may have to make the hard choice to close her back up and give her a fospice experience.

We are hoping that this decision will give us more time with our senior gal. She is a gentle soul and spends most of her days napping at her foster dad's house.

We have set a goal of $1500 to help for the cost of surgery. Its been a heavy 3 weeks of surgeries and we would appreciate support in any capacity.

Our good boy Almond is looking for his next foster or better yet, forever home. Hes currently being fostered in Rockland County NY.

He is extremely dog friendly and has lived with a pack during his foster journey. This good boy is a gentle giant and he would love a place to stay.

Our girl is being prepped for surgery as we speak, and we were shell-shocked this morning when the estimate came back at $7,000. 😫 We charge $400 for adoption and desperately need help covering the difference.

There is currently a shortage of orthopedic surgeons in Houston, and we have no choice but to move forward with surgery today.

Emma's injury is new, and in order to give her the highest chance of a successful recovery, we needed to have it repaired as soon as possible. She will be having a plate and screws inserted into her leg to help the spiral fracture heal properly.

Would it have been cheaper to amputate the leg? Absolutely. But morally, we don't feel right about that, especially when her prognosis for a full recovery is good.

We have raised $4,000 toward this procedure so far, and we're hopeful we can raise the remaining $3,000 by the end of the day.

Emma isn't a dog we planned for, and this is a massive, unexpected undertaking for a small rescue like ours. But she is here, she needs us, and we're going to do everything we can to give her the best chance at a full recovery. ❤️

Our sweet girl Emma will be undergoing surgery tomorrow at H town Vet Specialists. She has been through the ringer and has also developed an abcess from mastitis this week.

Her foster families have been incredibly supportive and have been providing her with medication, warm compresses and splint changes to keep her as comfortable as possible.

We are going into this surgery without an estimate tomorrow as this is our first time using this office. She needs her leg repaired and it will get done no matter what.
