At Walker’s Way Rescue we do not only do adoptions!!!!
Meet Angelina and her boyfriend, Snowy — the parents of Soup Spoon, Caterpillar, Lunchbox, and Plankton. While their babies are absolutely adorable, the reality is that allowing cats to continue reproducing only adds to the growing number of unwanted kittens in our community.
Angelina has a wonderful caretaker who feeds and looks after her small colony, and they are very loved. When Angelina became pregnant, her caretaker reached out to us for help. Angelina safely had and raised her four babies indoors with us. Once the kittens were old enough to eat on their own, Angelina was spayed, vaccinated, ear-tipped to show she has been fixed, and returned safely back to her community and friends.
Now it’s Snowy’s turn. As many people know, unneutered male cats often fight, roam, and continue producing more litters. By getting both Angelina and Snowy fixed, we likely prevented dozens of future homeless kittens.
We know we cannot solve the entire stray cat problem overnight, but if we can help even one or two cats at a time, it makes a difference. Every spay and neuter matters, and we will continue doing all we can to help our community animals
