Get. Randy. Adopted.

We are thrilled that we have found homes for all but one last dog who came to us in 2025 (Gothel was adopted 🥳) but our mission isn’t complete without Mr. Randy finding his happy ever after too.

The stats aren’t in his favor. He’s big. He’s strong. He’s a “pitbull.” He’s got the “tough guy” look.

But it’s not the outside that matters, it’s the inside. And on the inside Randy is a softie. He loves toys, playing in the pool, and gets along with the ladies 🐕 he’s playful and has the funniest hops when trying to catch a ball 🎾

Another familiar face? That’s because we’ve shared Randy before. He’s currently one of two remaining dogs who came to us LAST YEAR in 2025. You read that right. It’s been a very long time since Randy has been in our care.

Randy had experienced an immune related infection that has since healed, but we don’t want it to happen again. The longer animals are in the shelter, the more likely they are to become sick and stressed. Simply going home can solve there problems, but we can’t do that without you! We are still on a mission to send our urgent and 2025 dogs home.

Randy is a happy boy who loves the pool, rolling in the grass, and playing with toys. Another dog who’s likely passed over because of how he looks. Big and scary? Not a chance! He may be very strong, but he’s a friendly boy.
✔️ Does appear friendly with other dogs too. Female companion recommended.

🚨 YOU’VE SEEN HIM BEFORE. NOW YOU’RE SEEING HIM AGAIN. 🚨
Java is our most urgent dog in the shelter system right now.
Java may not be our longest resident, but he is struggling. 💔 He has been battling ongoing skin issues since arriving at the shelter. The shelter has treated him, but despite those efforts, his skin problems persist — likely due to the stress of shelter life and his current housing situation. But good news is, our good friends Pets Are Worth Saving - PAWS have offered a $200 veterinary credit to help you get Java in good health after leaving the shelter!
Java continues to show us his soft side. ❤️ You’ll often find him leaning against his kennel, soaking up pets from visitors of all kinds.
He gets lots of attention, but no commitment.
🙏 We are asking and hoping that Java be adopted before the long holiday weekend is over.
Because of his ongoing health and behavior concerns, Java needs to exit. He needs someone willing to see beyond his size, his skin issues, and the stress he is experiencing in the shelter.

🐾 Do you want the good news or the bad news? The good news, of course! 🎉❤️

Our longest resident, Thalia, has officially gone HOME! 🏡🥹✨

The bad news? Gothel and Randy were not. 💔 But tonight, we’re choosing to celebrate the victory, shed a few bittersweet tears, and soak in this happy ending for our girl.
Thalia is SO stoked about her new home — and especially that she has a doggy friend to play with! 🐶💕 We couldn’t have dreamed up a better ending for her.

A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the family who opened their hearts and home to our Thalia. It takes a special kind of person to welcome a rescue into their family, and we are forever grateful. ❤️

Tonight, we celebrate. 🥳

Tomorrow, we get back to work finding Gothel, Randy, and all the others their forever homes. 🐾

One happy ending at a time. ❤️🏡✨

🚨 URGENT — LAST DAY OF CLEAR THE SHELTER. 🚨

Not ONE of these dogs was adopted over the weekend. 💔

And now we’re running out of time.
Gothel. Thalia. Randy.
Three beautiful dogs. Three lives that deserve so much more than a shelter kennel. Three dogs who have been waiting since 2025 for someone to finally say:
“You’re coming home with me.” 🏡❤️

Tomorrow — Monday, August 31st — is the LAST DAY of fee-free adoptions.

OUR MISSION ISN’T COMPLETE.

Tomorrow is our LAST Saturday for fee-free adoptions for 💔🐾
And we’re asking you to help us make it count.
We started this month with a mission: get every dog who entered our care in 2025 into a loving home by the end of the month.
We’re so close… but 3 of our 2025 dogs are still waiting.
And they aren’t the only ones.
There are several urgent dogs who have been sitting in our care for far longer than they ever should have. Dogs who have watched other dogs come and go. Dogs who have been passed over, overlooked, or simply haven’t had the right person walk through the door for them yet.
They are running out of time.
Tomorrow could be the day everything changes for them.
A kennel is not a home.
Waiting is not a life.
And every dog deserves a chance.
If you’ve been thinking about adopting, please don’t wait..
Tomorrow is the final Saturday of fee-free adoptions. Let’s fill kennels with empty beds and send these dogs HOME. 🏠❤️
