When Round Rock Animal Control called to say they were bringing in a bobcat kitten, the team at All Things Wild was skeptical, as domestic kittens are often mistaken for wild bobcats. This time, it was the real thing.

Bobcats, members of the lynx family, are found throughout Texas and across much of North America. Kittens are typically born in the spring and remain with their mother until early fall, making orphaned cases especially vulnerable.

This young bobcat arrived dehydrated and severely undernourished.
