The Road to Special Olympics – Skowhegan! 🐴💚

Another great group practice is in the books!

This week our riders continued building their horsemanship skills on the ground before we bring it to in the saddle. We spent time working with our horses, grooming, doing some crafts and setting up our obstacle course building on the relationship with the horses before we get in the saddle.

One of the best parts of these group lessons is watching friendships grow alongside riding skills. From helping one another, cheering each other on, and stepping up to new challenges, our riders continue to impress us every week.

Every practice brings us one step closer to Special Olympics, and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort, determination, and positive attitudes these athletes bring to Bear Brook Equestrian.

We’re looking forward to another great practice and can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes this season! 💚

The Road to Special Olympics – Skowhegan! 🐴💚

Another great group practice is in the books!

Yesterday our riders worked together on brushing and horse care, enjoyed a craft activity, and helped set up our obstacle course before putting their horses through it. It was a great day of learning, teamwork, and building confidence and a relationship with their horses before we bring it to the saddle.

Every practice brings us one step closer to Special Olympics, and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort, determination, and positive attitudes these athletes bring each week.

We’re looking forward to an amazing season ahead and can’t wait to see what this team accomplishes!

🐴 Road to Special Olympics – Skowhegan! 🐴

Our big group had practice today and they were awesome! 💚

Our riders spent time working through our obstacle course, after setting it up, practicing leading, communication, confidence, and teamwork with their horses. We also squeezed in some fun activities along the way!

We’re excited to welcome some new riders to the team this year and are so looking forward to a great season ahead! ✨

It’s so fun watching this team grow each week as we get closer to Special Olympics! 💚🐴

Still riding on cloud 9 after how incredible Everest was at UNH this weekend!! Tackling some pretty big jumps, cruising through the water, and giving me the absolute best ride. So proud of this horse and how much heart he gives me every single ride. 💚🗻
