We often post about puppies and how their first grooming experience was great. But grooming experiences vary widely with each dog and as professionals we like to communicate with owners so that we can work together to make each pet’s experience the best that it can be. Sophie came to us a few weeks ago, very feisty and unsure of multiple aspects of grooming. We worked patiently with her and gave her a calm experience that focused more on comfort and reassurance than vanity. After letting her owners know about any concerns that we had we all agreed that it would benefit her to see us again sooner rather than later to continue exposure to grooming. Today, a month after her first experience with us, she came back and was like a completely different puppy. Upon her first visit we were able to complete about 75% of her grooming and sent her home with some guidance on how to work with her on exposure. Today we completed 100% of her groom in a fraction of the time and with so much more acceptance from her. It takes teamwork to mold a puppy into a well behaved dog and our team at Doggy Stylz takes pride in what we do and we appreciate every pet owner that takes the time to communicate with us in order to make their pets experience the kind that they deserve.
