About a month ago, we took in this absolutely gorgeous litter of puppies. The woman who had them took very good care of them, she just needed a little help. We picked them up and immediately knew this was going to be a total blast! These babies are Chuckie, Dusty, Juno, Piglet, Nova, Dazy, and Frankie. They are Sheltie, Pomeranian and Husky mix. All of them have been adopted, except Juno.

I will write their names under their photos 😊

Dazy was the first to be adopted. My parents had been wanting a puppy for a while now and I wanted to make sure they found the perfect puppy. They immediately fell in love with Dazy, she is now spoiled and she definitely knows she’s a princess. We all love her so much!

Next to be adopted was Dusty. His name is now Tyr, pronounced Tier, and he is loving his new family! He enjoys running on the beach and playing with boxes. His new mom always updates us when she sees us and we are so grateful he is so loved.

Nova, now Gabbie, is living the dream in her new home, she went to a wonderful woman I’ve known my whole life and she is so spoiled. Her name is Gabbie because she is a chatterbox and will always tell you how it is. She is full of affection and energy!

Frankie, named after Ol’ Blue eyes himself Frank Sinatra, is a goofball, her new family said she is always sleeping on her back and talks a bunch. She is so loved and happy with her new family. Fun Fact, we took her grocery shopping one day and met her new momma by chance. She fell in love instantly but wasn’t sure if it was the right time. I gave her my contact info and just a few days later I got a message. It was her! She couldn’t stop thinking about Frankie and wanted to adopt her! We met the next day and that was all she wrote. Frankie is definitely a charmer!

We will talk about Piglet later, but just know he is a mamas boy 😉

Now for Chuckie. Chuckie was adopted from the beginning, but his situation was a little different. His new mama was battling sickness and wanted to make sure she was feeling better before bringing him home. We agreed to keep Chuckie with us until she felt better and was confident that she was okay. His new family means a lot to me. Chuckie went to his forever home yesterday and I am so happy they love him. He is such a sweetie and I just knew he would be a wonderful fit in his new family.

Juno is still with us, which is shocking because he is the sweetest boy. He gives the best hugs and just wants to be with people. He enjoys shopping at Cabela’s and snuggling up while you watch tv. He is amazing with other animals and kids, he just loves life and loves to be held like a baby. I am confident he will find his forever family soon. Until then, he will continue to be our little love bug and go on shopping trips with us to Cabela’s where everyone adores him.

If you read this far, thank you for taking the time to learn about these babies❤️

Hi everyone! I know its been a while, but we are still here and we haven’t given up! My health is much better and I am happy to say we have some updates!

After my health scares, we took a break and I focused on healing. We still helped with emergency cases and upgraded our pet room . Are you ready to see what we have accomplished over the last couple months? Here we go!

Let’s start with Finn and Bailey Mae. These two bundles of love came from an unimaginable situation in mid December. They were starved, locked together in a crate far too small for them 24 hours a day, abused, and living in their own f***s. Finn had healed injuries in his ribs, most likely from being kicked. He was malnourished, terrified, and still craved affection. He just wanted to be loved. Bailey Mae flinched every time you made any movement, shut down when she heard any sort of loud noise and didn’t understand what grass or dirt was. She army crawled everywhere, it was almost like she didn’t know how to walk. Finn came out of his shell fairly quickly, he loved children and other animals, enjoyed rides in the truck and loved everyone he met. Bailey Mae took longer to open up but once she did, she became the most affectionate sweetheart. Just like Finn, she loved everyone and everything. Both of them gained their weight back beautifully, we got them vaccinated and dewormed, and once they were ready they were adopted!

Finn, now Finley, is happy as ever, we are still in contact with his forever family and we get tons of updates. He is such an amazing boy and we are so blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him. He spends his days playing outside and making his family laugh.

Bailey Mae was adopted about 2 weeks ago, she now has a little fur brother and she is very happy. She spends her days curled up on the couch with her forever family and snuggles as much as possible. I couldn’t be happier for her, she finally knows what love is!

Check out this beautiful girl! This is Koraline Jones. Her owners reached out to us to help them find her a home due to no fault of her own. They work a lot and their kids are in school, and they believe she deserves a home with people who have more time for her and can better fit her needs. She is a sweet girl, please take the time to read about her, share, or comment/message us if you may be interested in her. I will get you in contact with her owners. Thank you!

A letter from her owners:

“3 years old
Husky Malamute
Koraline Jones
Fixed and up to date on vaccines as of last year.
Comes from potentially male abusive home based off of the extent of damage said male caused to a trailer they got me evicted from

Will eat anything she isn't supposed to so it is best to have older kids or no kids.
All trashes must be out of reach.
All kitty litter and laundry must be out of reach.
Good with cats.
Needs multiple introductions to other dogs. No high anxiety dogs.

Has bitten my 7 year old because of his own behavior. It was not her fault and my son was already given multiple bark warnings at that time, earlier in the day, and on many other days. She needs a home with no children or older children who will respect her boundaries.

Loves to run and pull. She likes to pull me on my longboard.

Definitely more of a woman's dog. I've trained her to shake, sit, lay down, talk sh*t, and up. She learned all very quickly

Pees when leashed but not always, mostly after being kept in her crate, and doesn't do it if a kid or teenager lets her out. Would do best with a doggy door and fenced in yard.

Loves to go for rides and to play in water. She WILL drink until she is sick so limiting her water is recommended.

Does not like to be outside by herself if she is leashed. Also does not like to touch snow or wet grass.

Loves to sleep in bed but will settle for a carpet on the floor.

Due to her eating habits, she is at risk of bowel obstruction and sickness. She isn't able to put on weight and we can't afford surgery and constant vet bills.”

With her eating habits, we recommend a slow feeder to give her time to properly chew her food. We can recommend a few variations of these feeders to potential adopters. We also recommend you do not let her run around or be active for at least an hour before and after eating, this gives her time to digest her meal and lowers the risk of GVD (gastric dilation-volvulus, stomach flip). GVD is common in larger breed dogs and there are steps that can be taken to help prevent it from happening.

Hi guys! Long time no see, but we are still here!
We were contacted today with a desperate plea for help. This sweet boy needs a second chance, his owners are very sad to have to do this but they are out of options and shelters are overpacked to the point they are immediately euthanizing owner surrenders. Will you give this boy a chance?

A message from his owner:

This is Zero.

He's 3 years old and just the most loveable boy. We adopted him from family when they could no.longer house him. He is very vocal but means no harm in any means.
He needs room to run as he is used to about half an acre of a fenced in yard.
He has had some issues with our other male with being protective over family members or certain things.
Today he attacked our other dog and when my wife intervened, he attacked her. He has no problems whatsoever woth people before but is very dominant with other dogs.

He is not fixed and will need his shots, his owner is willing to donate to Zero’s adopters to get him fixed and vetted. Zero is currently separated from the other dog in the home, he is safe in their pole barn where they are making sure he is safe, warm and taken care of. Zero would do best in a home with no other pets and room to run. Please share to get this boy the recognition he deserves, and help us find him his forever home. If you are interested in Zero, please reach out to us and we will get you in contact with his owner. Thank you!

Hi everyone, it’s been a while! I just wanted to explain the reason for our absence. My health has been a rollercoaster the last few weeks and I’ve had to take a step back to get my bearings back. I’m still not feeling great but I’m hoping to be back to myself as soon as possible. I’m still here for anyone needing advice and guidance but I am not able to take on new animals as of right now. I’m in and out of doctors appts at the moment and I’m having surgery in a couple weeks. I’m still here for emergency cases, that will never change. Our messages are always open, no matter what. I will still do everything in my power to help, I’m just struggling at the moment and need to get my health figured out. I hope you all understand and please know I will be back as soon as I’m feeling better. ❤️ if you have any questions or are curious, I’m open to answering any questions. Just send me a message 😊

Hi everyone! We haven’t been posting much the last few days so we wanted to give an update on how things are going.
This has been a very busy week for us here at Meek’s Minis. We built a massive cat condo for our fosters/adoptable kitties! It is 4.5’x7’ wide and 6.5’ tall, the top level is 4’ tall. We have 4 access doors, and we are able to climb into the condo for easy cleaning and to play with the kitties.
The bottom level is their relaxing area, their beds and litter box are down there. The main level is their jungle gym and cat towers, we are going to add in platforms across the back wall and they have an automatic laser light and toys. Their food and water bowls are also on the main level. We are waiting for the cat towers to come in but they are loving their new area so far. We made sure they had plenty of privacy on the bottom level, this gives our more nervous kitties a safe space to relax if they are overwhelmed. Once their towers come in we will post pictures of the fully finished project!

Hi there! Meet Bella!
A message from her family:

We are looking to re-home our 11 year old dog, Bella. She needs a home that does not have any small children (teenagers would be ok), other dogs, or cats. We’ve had her since she was a puppy and she’s been a great companion, but unfortunately she hasn’t adapted to life with a toddler and a baby, so we’ve decided she deserves to be in a home where she doesn’t have to be behind a gate all day.

A little about Bella:
- Born September 2012 in an “oops” litter. We don’t know exactly what breeds she is, but we did a DNA test and it came back primarily husky & terrier.
- Medium sized dog, about 45-50 lbs
- No major health concerns, but she has had a few cases of pancreatitis in the past. We have her on a low fat dog food that we get from Chewy and limit treats/people food. Since starting this, she hasn’t had any flare-ups (5+ years)
- Bella loves to play outside and go on walks, but she is also perfectly content to cuddle at home.
- She is a very sweet, cuddly, and playful dog with adults and would be the perfect companion to an empty-nester, or someone who doesn’t have any kids (or plan to for a few years).
- Bella has lived in the city and with a yard and does well with both. She can be left alone while you work, but of course she loves to be around her people as much as possible. She’s the type of dog that will keep your feet warm while you work at your computer.
- Fully updated on all vaccines, spayed as a puppy, and had a recent check up showing no concerns.

We want to find Bella a good home as soon as possible. She’ll come with any food and treats we have left, a bed, blanket, toys, leash, etc. The re-homing fee is $100.

My husband and I will want to meet you in person at your home to ensure you will give her a good life. We hate to see her go to a new family, but we need to put our babies first.

Will you be Bella’s new forever family?

It has come to our attention that some people are angry about us calling ourselves a rescue, and rather than educating us we are being harassed or attacked. While I understand the concerns, I feel we need to address this.
We are in the process of establishing our 501c3 status, so yes technically we shouldn’t be calling ourselves a rescue just yet. I guess the better term for the time being would be something along the lines of “animal haven”. Everything we are doing is legal, accurate and safe. We do not take in more animals than we can handle, we do not “collect” or “hoard” animals and we do not accept money donations. The only donations we have accepted are unwanted/unneeded pet supplies (which helps a bunch!). Everything we do is paid for out of our own pockets. We have had people donate food for the animals, food they were not going to use. We keep record of everything we are doing. If we are contacted about an animal looking for a home, we offer to post the animal for the owner or direct the owner to rescues who may be able to help. If the animal is not in urgent need of placement or if we have a litter of animals in our care, we will help the owners find a solution for their problem/situation. We do not take in every animal we are contacted about. We do not take in more than one litter at a time as we don’t want to take on more than we can handle and we want to keep the animals as comfortable as possible. The main issue people are having is the 501c3 status. This is being handled. Another issue brought to our attention is the bernedoodles that were posted on our page last week. Those bernedoodles are not in our care, they were brought to TSC’s adoption day event last week by a pair of older women who were trying to find them homes. We do not support breeding, nor were we trying to find them homes. They are completely separate from what we are trying to do. The pictures were posted simply because they are puppies and they are still cute. It isn’t their fault their parents were bred. We were not in any way trying to adopt them out for the breeders, but puppies still deserve homes regardless of the reason they exist. The ladies that bred them knew it was a mistake after the fact and stated they would not be breeding again after this. They stated it was a one time thing. Again, we do not support breeding and we are in no part involved with breeders.
Another concern we would like to address is our adoption fees. All of the adoption fees set in place for the animals. The adoption fees help provide further care for the animals. At the end of the day, it costs us more to care for these animals than the adoption fee covers.
The last thing I would like to address is the people who have reached out and have been very aggressive. While we understand the concerns you may have, there are far better ways to get the point across and educate rather than disrespect and bashing. We have been told there are rescue organizations angry about what we are doing but have not been contacted by these rescues. If you are a rescue and have any concerns, by all means reach out to us and communicate. We are open to any advice, education and direction. We are in this for the animals, not financial gain or any other reason. If we are doing something improperly, kindly let us know.

Check out this handsome boy!
This is Bruce😊
A message from his current owner:
“He is a 4 year old American Staffordshire Terrier, well pit mix mostly. AI believe he's missing one round of vaccines, but he has had everything else, and I have all the papers from every vet appointment. He's good around other dogs, but once he's done playing with them, he growls to let them know he's done. As for when dogs come around me, he gets a little territorial around the people he loves. He's been nothing but amazing with my son who's 10 years old. Hes never been around cats, but he does like to chase the squirrels in the backyard. He does take a little to warm up to new people tho. I rescued him from a shelter in 2020 and they found him in a ditch with another dog in Louisiana. So I'm not sure what his life was like prior to adopting him. He's a sweetheart but gets scared by loud noises, thunder, fireworks, the such. He loves stuffed animals but will eventually shred them, loves cozy blankets but will chew them if he's got anxiety while I'm gone for a while. He's never ruined anything in the house or had any accidents. He just wants attention and love because he deserves that. He get a little territorial if his crate is out or when he's in the crate and people are just standing around it. I think it makes him uncomfortable because he's contained and cant do anything if needed be. He's never bit anyone, but will growl if he doesn't feel comfortable with you around him. But that's not his fault, he's just scared and is trying his best. I love him more than I can say and only want the absolute best life for him! He deserves that”

This lovely fur mama has a short time to find this beautiful boy a new forever home, this is urgent. Bruce needs someone to understand him and approach him with patience and kindness. He truly is a good boy, he just needs more than his current mama can give him at this time. Her heart is breaking over this but she knows he deserves the world and is hoping someone can provide that for him. If you are interested in adopting this sweet boy and taking the time to understand him, please reach out to us and his current owner will be happy to talk with you. He deserves a chance❤️
