‼️Magoo needs a foster or adopter like, yesterday! 🥺

This boy’s time with Malo K9 will be coming to an end soon and he hasn’t had a single inquiry! 🥺

Magoo was caught in a trap in a rural part of Pinal County when he was only a young pup about 6-8 months old. That was a year ago. Magoo has grown up at Pinal County Animal Care and Control. 😭

When under socialized/fearful dogs like Magoo end up in county shelters, most don’t even get a chance before they are euthanized.

Thankfully, volunteers and staff have done a great job of helping this boy, but after a year in the shelter his progress was starting to plateau. In some areas even regress. Thanks to FriendsofPinalAnimalShelter Magoo has been given the opportunity to hang out with Malo K9 and catch up on some much needed socialization, confidence building, exposure therapy, while learning some basic life skills most dogs need when living with people.

Magoo has had a rough start at life, but this boy is ready to take on the world with a dedicated family. Magoo has definitely bloomed into a curious pup that is eager to hang out with his pack and experience a real life like a real dog. ❤️

Malo K9 is happy to provide continued training support to ensure a smooth transition into a new home to set our boy up for success and to allow him to continue to thrive. ❤️

A year in the shelter is way too long and Magoo doesn’t want to go back! If you can open up your home to this special boy, please reach out. Magoo is available for foster and adoption through Pinal County Animal Care & Control.

Fun video featuring Remi! 🐶

Remi did a board and train awhile back. She got to visit recently when her family went out of town.

While having Remi over for a few days I discovered a funny little quirk of hers….attacking the vacuum. 😂 Naturally, I had to turn it into a training session. 💁🏻‍♀️ I could have had her just place like my personal dogs do naturally when the vacuum comes out. But I thought it’d be more fun to let her get some of that dog out and polish up her “on and off switch.” 😈 Benefits of having your trainer as your sitter! After reps of this she left me alone to vacuum the other side of the house in peace. 😂

I didn’t know Remi had this quirk but it’s very on par for her. 😂 She’s a drivey girl who originally came into my training program for not having an “off switch” which was leading to anxiety, too rough of play, and reactivity.

Our Annual Pup-or-Treat event is just around the corner! 🎃👻❤️
October 17th, 2026 from 4:30pm-7:30pm please join us with your families for some spooky fun! We will have tons of games for kids, costume contests, a haunted house, vendors, trunk or treat, face painting, and much MORE!
We will have fee waived adoptions, so come on out and fall in love with your next furry friend 🐶🐱❤️

🐾 Last Basic Obedience Class of the year starts October 11th.

🐾 AKC Canine Good Citizen Classes begin in the winter.

🐾 There’s a few Pet Boarding and Doggie Training Camp spots left for the remainder of the year.

Last obedience class of the year coming up! Don’t procrastinate your training goals and get signed up! Classes start October 11th. We meet on Sundays for an hour for 6 weeks at Pinal County Animal Care and Control in Casa Grande.📍

There is a 10% discount for pets adopted from a shelter or rescue!
