World Rabies Day is an annual reminder of the importance of helping protect against rabies before it strikes. Every year, rabies kills 70,000 people worldwide. That makes routine immunization for dogs and cats crucial! North Carolina so far in 2026 has had at least 33 positive cases of Rabies, and human exposure is up 76% (including contact from a petting zoo)!

The Rabies vaccine is LEGALLY required for pets, no matter age or ongoing health issues, if you are wondering if your pet is up to date or not, please call and we will be glad to check for you! The vaccines we use are extremely safe.
