Once again the shelves at Walmart were bare when goat milk was needed. Not even powdered goat milk was available. Thankfully more than one store carried it, but what if they didn’t? This is why it’s so important to connect with your local farmer and supplier. Get on their regular customer list (if it’s something you buy regularly) and don’t find yourself solely dependent on the box store and supply chain. This goes for farmers too. Support your local feed mill and hay growers. One day you might show up to the store and find what you need isn’t in stock or available. Just some thoughts…🙂

Hope everyone is doing well!

Kidding season started off well here with a single Chestnut doeling (retained) from SweetPotato on 2/16. The following day, Mountie had a single traditional bay buckling. Shortly after, Spicy (SweetPotato’s twin) gave us a good sized POLLED Chestnut buckling! Both bucklings are available to go now as bottle babies or can be dam raised until weaning. Bottle raised kids by request. 🙂 Our herd is CAE/CL negative and we keep a closed herd.

Princess has one handsome boy available and ready to go! He is horned, but able to go as a bottle baby and be disbudded at his new home. Princess is a beautiful doe and a great milker. He will make a great future herdsire, pack wether, or pet! His sire is polled and always produces fabulous kids. Can go with or without ADGA papers. Our herd is CAE/CL negative and we keep a closed herd.

A flurry of kids decended upon us this weekend! Mountie kidded with a beautiful single doeling (Tropicana) on Saturday. Sunday morning Princess kidded with two handsome bucklings (names TBD). Both mamas and all babies are doing well! So grateful for perfect kiddings with no complications! Little Tropicana is already spoken for and both bucklings are available as future herdsires or pack prospects!
Our Chestnuts are due next with SweetPotato due at the end of the month and Siggi wrapping up our final kidding at the end of May.

It’s been a busy spring and the goat kids are starting to arrive! “Topaz” is a beautiful ADGA American Oberhasli doeling. Her sire is polled (unfortunately ADGA Genetics page doesn’t show that). Our herd is tested CAE/CL negative and we keep a closed herd.
More kids are due in the next few days-weeks. Receive a discount for deposits placed prior to birth. Oberhasli make great homestead milkers or sweet show goats. We have something for everyone, from homestead milkers to show goats, to pack wethers, or just perfect pets! Feel free to PM with questions or for more info.

Looking to start your own herd and don’t want to start with babies? I am letting few of my girls go. Several are in milk and one is open. All are registered or able to be registered. Some were keepers, but I just need to thin the herd down a bit and make room for next spring. I also have several bucklings left that could make a great package deal on a starter herd. Open to trades. CAE/CL negative herd.

Breeding season is almost here (or already here for some!). We have three nice Oberhasli buckling’s left. Born this spring, two in March and one in April. All three have horns and could make good packers, cart wethers, or a homestead herdsire. We also have several does available if you are looking for a starter herd. Open to trades. PM for more info!

And he’s off! Riding with a ray of golden morning sunshine to his new herd and join as a herdsire. Fun fact, this handsome boy clocked in at 87lbs, just shy of 4 months old! He is a Siggi grandson and takes after her build, so I may have a new packing line!

Still have a few more exceptional boys (polled and horned!), a doeling, and a yearling doe in milk available. Both the doe and doeling are eligible for ADGA registration.

Kidding season is finished and we have a few Obers still available.
Two yearling does in milk
Two ADGA registerable doelings (one polled!)
Six bucklings (three are polled)
One of the polled bucklings is unrelated to the two does in milk and could make a good homestead starter herd. PM for more info.

Kidding season is *almost* wrapped up here for the season. We have lots of sweet baby goats to choose from! Several horned bucklings that would make excellent packer prospects, two polled bucklings that would be wonderful homestead herd sires, and a doeling all currently available. There are still two more does to kid with a high chance of polled kids for those who prefer no horns. 😁
