Two dogs, one handler, and no room for sloppy leash work.

Distance doesn’t change the expectation. Stay means stay.

A solid heel is about moving together, not dragging your dog through the walk.

Holding position while the handler moves away is where patience gets tested.

It looks easy when you see the finished product. What you don’t see are the hours of repetition that went into getting there.

Training your dog doesn’t have to mean spending hours at a time working. Five intentional minutes can be enough to work on a down, impulse control, engagement, place, recall, or whatever skill you’re building.

The important part is consistency. Five minutes today. Five minutes tomorrow. Keep reinforcing the same expectations and give your dog the repetitions they need to understand what you’re asking.

And if you need some help getting there, that’s what we’re here for.

Call CCU Columbus at (678) 679-8300 to book training.

Use what your dog already wants. That toy drive can turn training into something they’re excited to work for.

A good heel should feel like a partnership, not a fight for position.

Building those drives with Rosey the Riveter.

She’s still got a lot of growing to do, but we’re building on what she already has and having some fun while we do it.

Back to the basics with K9 Boone. There’s nothing like getting in a solid set of obedience.

Don’t underestimate the impact a nice, short training session can have. Remember, 10 minutes of training is better than none at all.

Need help creating that foundation? Give us a call at (678) 679-8300.

There are definitely worse coworkers to have. K9 Rosey might be one of my favorites.
