🐾Day 1➡️Day 5 Leash Walking Progress🐾

On Day 1, leash walking was a challenge! This crazy pup had two speeds, pulling to get wherever he wanted to go or stopping and laying down because he wanted to sniff or try to eat something off the ground. We had to start from the basics and teach him that leash pressure meant to move with me and that pulling wasn't how he got where he wanted to go.

By Day 5, he's walking along with me, paying more attention, and looking more confident as he learns what's expected of him.🐶👏 He's still a young puppy with plenty of learning ahead of him, but the progress in just five days is amazing to see!

Small steps, consistency, and clear communication make a big difference.💜🐾

🐾Day 5: Graduation Day!🎉

Today is Day 5, which means Howie is heading home!🏡

Over the past five days, we've focused on building the skills he'll use every day, with a big emphasis on loose leash walking and stopping the biting. I'm so proud of the progress he's made!

Howie has also made huge improvements with:
🐶Bell training
🐶Basic obedience
🐶Household manners
🐶Confidence and focus

He's worked so hard this week, and now it's time to continue practicing everything he's learned at home. Consistency is key, and I know he's set up for success!

Howie's Training Journey - Day 4

Another great day of progress for Howie!

Today's training focused on:
🦮Loose-leash walking outdoors
🌳Practicing leave it with real-world
distractions
🐾Introducing the come command
🦴Introducing drop it

As we move outside, training becomes more challenging with all the new sights, sounds, and smells. Howie is learning to stay engaged and beginning to understand these new commands.

Remember, these are introductions to each skill. Consistent practice at home is what helps these behaviors become reliable over time.

🐾Howie's Training Journey - Day 3🐾

Today we continued reinforcing everything we worked on during the first couple of days while introducing a few new skills. Training is all about building on a solid foundation before moving to the next step.

Today's focus included:
🐶No biting
🐾No jumping
🦴Sit
⬇️Down
✋Leave it
🤫Introducing the quiet command
🔔Continuing bell training for potty training
🏡Crate confidence
🦮Introducing leash work and teaching
Howie how to be comfortable walking on a leash while beginning to work on loose leash walking (no pulling).

Howie is starting to understand that paying attention and making good choices lead to rewards. He's becoming more confident every day, and it's been fun watching him put the pieces together. While he's still learning, he's making steady progress, and that's exactly what we like to see!

It's finally time for a Howie update!🐾

I know I promised to share his progress throughout his training, and life got a little busy, but we're catching up starting with Day 2!

Today we focused on building the foundation for a well mannered puppy by working on:
🐶No biting
🐾No jumping
🦴Sit
🔔Introducing bell training for potty training 🏡Becoming comfortable and confident in
the crate

The first few days of training are all about creating structure, consistency, and teaching Howie what is expected of him. Every good habit starts with repetition, and he's already beginning to understand that making the right choices earns praise and rewards.

He's been doing a great job settling into the routine, and I'm excited to share the rest of his journey over the next few days. Stay tuned for Day 3!

This adorable Golden Retriever is almost 11 weeks old and is here for my 5 Day Puppy Board & Train program!

He is seriously the cutest thing ever, and I can't wait to help him build a strong foundation with training, confidence, and good manners.

Daisy is spending a few days with me for training! She is just 11 weeks old and already getting started on building great habits early. We’ll be focusing on potty training, reducing play biting, and setting a strong foundation for future training. 🐶💛
