Ragdoll kittens first car ride! 🥳🚙🗺️

This little one did not want to be secured in a cat carrier for this ride. I do recommend for the safety of our kittens that they are secured in a carrier for car rides… however, in this situation the benefits of a lap snuggle outweighed the risks.

I ran out of toys midway through the journey. Had to get creative. Little kitten likes reggaeton. Was fascinated by the windshield wipers and passing cars. Not a fan of some of the bumps and rumble strips - but neither are we.

He played well into the 3rd hour of the drive, then we both fell asleep …

Kittens, ESPECIALLY Ragdoll kittens can read and feel human energy. By us staying calm, and playing with him in this situation kept him calm as well.

When my body naturally began to relax into pre-sleep mode, he began nesting into the blanket and cocooning himself into his resting place, that’s when we both fell asleep. My body and energy qued him that it was okay to relax.

Ragdoll kittens are super responsive to their owner’s energy!

Side note:

My first time transporting one of my kittens by car
(4 hours one way). Normally, my eldest son is our driving and flying courier, but this time I got the honors!

Ragdolls are very trainable and adaptable to new environments.

Here we have a Moonseed graduate kitten being trained (right away) the harness and leash.

Now he is a big boy who travels with his owner by way of leash/harness around campus, vet, airport, etc with total ease. 😍🥰

His owner knew she wanted a travel companion and started with his positive harness exposure right away.

She consistently socialized and trained her kitten with repeated exposure with a lot of positive reinforcement.

She had support from her amazing family.

Also, the owner’s calm and confident energy helped this kitten grow into a confident traveler.

Here is a video of Ann Baker, the creator of the Ragdoll breed.

The Ragdoll was bred to maintain a character (personality) trait that she claimed was a phenomenon due to the fact that there was no genetic qualifier found responsible it’s iconic personality traits (including the ability to become placid or limp when held).

As you will see in the video, Ann was also considered a unique personality 🙃

This gorgeous little lass is “Capella”.

She is a beautiful blue mitted

There are many qualities that I love about Capella, however, her temperament takes the cake.

She is very loving, always purring, mellow, fun, playful, adaptable, and eager to explore and follow me around the house like a shadow.

She is everything in temperament that I strive for.

She has a lovely type, with a nice profile, chin, and a great structure & size thus far.

Her fur is true RAG, light bunny silk that is cool to the touch.

She is a 10/10 limp noodle when held 😆 which we all admire so much from this amazing breed.

She is tolerant, docile, and very affectionate. Would adapt well to a variety of homes and also I think she would be well suited for the show hall as she is curious, very tolerant, and adventurous. She goes out with me for errands sometimes and is very into new experiences.

She’s been my shadow and my favorite, but I am at my cat max right now.

Seeking the puurrrrfect family for this little lady, or an ethical cattery which follows similar standards (approval must come from sire’s breeder)

I really do think she would be an asset to a breeding program for many reasons.

I failed to mention the blaze in the other posts, but as you can see, she’s got that lovely blaze as well!!
