A horse doesn’t care what you look like.
They don’t care if your makeup is done, if your outfit matches, or if you caught your best angle on camera.

They care that you showed up.

Progress doesn’t happen overnight.
Trust isn’t given it’s earned.
And it’s earned in the quiet moments no one sees.

The messy ones.
The frustrating ones.
The ones where your face isn’t flattering, your hands aren’t perfect, and nothing feels pretty about the process.

But the horse doesn’t see any of that.

They feel your consistency.
They recognize your patience.
They remember that you came back… again and again.

A horse that once ran from people…
now meets you at the gate with ears up.

That didn’t come from perfect pictures.
That came from time.
From effort.
From showing up when no one was watching.

This life isn’t polished.
It’s dirt, sweat, and growth.

And the horse?
They don’t judge your mess.

They trust you because of it.

When you pray for rain.. and the storm rolls in like this. There is beauty in the chaos.

Big things don’t always start in big places.

Sometimes they start in a small barn aisle.
A small arena.
A corner of a pasture.
A quiet moment where someone decides to try.

We live in a world that often tells us we need more before we can begin.
More space.
More money.
More equipment.
More of everything.

But the truth is some of the biggest things in life start in the smallest spaces.

A rider learning confidence in a small ring.
A young horse learning patience in a short session.
A dream beginning with nothing more than determination and a willingness to work.

You don’t need everything to start.
You just need to start with what you have.

You might realize you already have more than enough to hit the ground running.

Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Build as you go.

Because often the biggest breakthroughs…
happen quietly in the smaller spaces.

And one day you’ll look back and realize those small spaces built something pretty big.

If this is what you love, find a way.

You don’t step into an arena for comfort.

You step in to be refined.

The arena reveals preparation.
It exposes shortcuts.
It magnifies doubt.
And it rewards discipline.

In a world obsessed with convenience —
we choose commitment.

In a culture that chases easy —
we build resilience.

World champions aren’t made on show day.
They’re built in quiet arenas.
On hard days.
On corrected mistakes.
On one disciplined decision at a time.

And here’s the truth…

God doesn’t put you in an arena He won’t stand in with you.

This is where grit is formed.
This is where confidence is earned.
This is where standards stay high.

Built in the Arena.

Easy is not an option.

Some dreams are quiet.
They sit in your chest for years.
Waiting.

The Year of the Fire Horse is not the year you silence them.

It is the year you answer them.

For some, that dream looks like comfort.
For others, it looks like security.
But for you,it looks like an arena gate swinging open.
It looks like braids, polish, early mornings, and long evenings.
It looks like discipline when no one is watching.

It looks like walking into the pen not hoping
but knowing you belong there.

The Fire Horse energy is bold, relentless, forward.
It doesn’t wait for perfect conditions.
It trains in the heat.
It shows up in the cold.
It builds muscle in the dark.

Becoming a Hunter Under Saddle World Champion isn’t one ride.
It’s thousands of invisible decisions.
It’s choosing excellence when average would be easier.
It’s loving the horse in front of you enough to rise for them every single day.

It’s passion refined by fire.

This year isn’t about ego.
It’s about alignment.
Alignment between your work ethic and your calling.
Between your discipline and your destiny.

The Fire Horse doesn’t guarantee comfort.
It guarantees growth.

So run toward the vision.
Run toward the standard.
Run toward the version of you that rides with quiet confidence and undeniable presence.

And when you get there
when the gate closes behind you and the world gets silent remember this:

You didn’t arrive by accident.
You were forged for it.

Breakthrough isn’t loud.
It’s earned.

Live your passion so boldly that others find the courage to chase theirs.

In a world built for convenience…
we’re choosing commitment.

This season is about refinement.
It’s about discipline.
It’s about building something that lasts.

Welcome to a new chapter.

She wasn’t made to blend in.
She was “Cerntly Born With It”✨

This week we celebrate “Mayzee”
my 6-year-old ginger firecracker with the biggest heart and the softest eye.

Fierce when she walks in the pen.
Loyal when the pressure builds.
All give when you ask her to try one more time.

She is personality.
She is presence.
She is power wrapped in copper shine.

Six years young and already teaching lessons in grit, grace, and feel.

Some horses you train.
Some horses train you.

Mayzee does both.

Here’s to more slow, floaty trots…
more brave lope departures…
more late-night dreams of Hunter Under Saddle greatness…
and more moments where she reminds me:

You don’t have to be the biggest in the pen to own it.

Happy 6th Birthday,
Cerntly Born With It 🧡

Ryder James Ranch was never built for easy.

It was built from grit. From long days. From belief when circumstances didn’t make sense. It was built with my hands, my heart, and a quiet conviction that growth happens in the hard.

Horses have always been my haven. The arena has always been the place where life makes sense.
Where discipline brings peace and effort creates confidence. I’ve learned that bravery isn’t loud. It’s the decision to get back on. To try again. To fix what’s uncomfortable. To show up when it would be easier not to.

That’s the culture I protect here.

Ryder James Ranch is a place of calm focus and safe growth. A place where riders are given structure without chaos. Correction without shame. Standards without intimidation.

We train English and Western All Around Disciplines, but what we truly build is confidence behind the reins, the kind that holds steady in competition and in life.

My vision reaches beyond local arenas. It reaches toward refinement, toward championship level preparation, toward stepping into bigger gates with composure and clarity.

But no matter how far the goals stretch, the foundation remains the same:

Respect the horse.
Refine the rider.
Protect the environment.
Build resilience.

I believe bravery leads to confidence.
Confidence leads to discipline.
Discipline creates something unstoppable.

This ranch is serene for a reason. Because growth flourishes where it feels safe.

And if you’re willing to step into bravery, you will leave stronger than you arrived.

Built in the Arena.
Easy Is Not an Option.

Arena Progress…
Stop making excuses and be apart of the 5%. This life is what my younger self always dreamed of. If I waste it. If I fail. It’s because I quit not because I didn’t give it everything I had. Winners show up when it hurts and when it’s not optimal. Be a winner!
