As a breeder, I would like to take a moment to address a common issue I face when communicating with potential clients. When advertising litters or having a listing up for pictures, I receive numerous inquiries via text message and phone calls. Unfortunately, a significant portion of these messages have been scams, with some individuals attempting to deceive me into divulging sensitive financial information. Recently, I mistakenly identified a legitimate individual as a scammer and politely inquired about the legitimacy of their inquiry. It turned out that they were indeed a genuine party interested in working with me, but my suspicion resulted in a lost opportunity. To avoid similar situations in the future, I would like to kindly request that anyone reaching out to me via text message be patient with me as I verify their legitimacy. This may involve asking additional questions or scheduling a phone call to ensure that we can conduct business securely and efficiently. Just as it is essential for potential clients to do their due diligence in verifying my legitimacy, I must also take steps to verify theirs.
